11th Gen Civic FE CVT came to us after visiting other workshop. "Checked everything... can't find anything wrong" 🤷‍♂️

Customer was frustrated. Hard start. White smoke. Misfires. But other shops = no fault found.

WE FOUND IT IN UNDER 10 MINUTES:
Head gasket leaking. In real time. Right in front of customer 🔍

Coolant pushing into cylinders = white smoke + compression loss. Piston knock starting too. This wasn't "nothing wrong". This was an engine begging for help.

WHITE SMOKE + HARD START = ENGINE CRYING FOR HELP

11th Gen Civic FE CVT rolled in with "mystery issues" after another workshop couldn't find the fault.

Common SYMPTOMS
✅ Hard start on cold mornings
✅ White smoke puffing from exhaust
✅ Rough idle + misfires
✅ Power loss under load

THE REAL PROBLEM:
We took a peek & ran some tests. Piston knock. Obvious head gasket failure. Coolant was leaking into the cylinders = white smoke. This wasn't a sensor or spark plug issue. This was internal.

OUR FINDINGS:
⚠️ Head gasket leaking badly
⚠️ Piston knock detected

THE PLAN:
Engine out. Full inspection. Then we rebuild it right:
1. ARP Head Studs - more clamping force vs stock bolts. No more gasket lift under boost
2. Brand new head gasket - Proper seal, proper reliability
3. Full overhaul if needed - Bore check, pistons, bearings.

Question is: simple head gasket job, or full rebuild? Stay tuned 👀.

This FE CVT travelled all the way from Temerloh for a proper custom dyno tuning powered by KTuner, LLC V1.2.

📊 Before tuning, the air-fuel ratio (AFR) was: ⚠️ Running lean through parts of the powerband.

After our custom dyno tuning:
✅ Corrected AFR mapping
✅ Smoother and more consistent power delivery
✅ Reduced knock activity
✅ Lower boost pressure while producing more power & torque
✅ Safer operation under load

Many people focus only on peak horsepower numbers, but the real story is hidden in the data.

That's the difference between a true custom dyno tune and a generic copy-and-paste calibration.

11th Gen Civic FE CVT with some light mods running on RON 95 came in for Dealer Flash custom dyno tune after a "copy-paste-generic-flash & go tune" that comes with consistent engine knocking done elsewhere. Just flash & pray 💻❌

If your tune wasn’t done on a dyno, it wasn’t tuned. It was guessed & always study the entire dynochart, not just the biggest numbers on it 😉

Little to no knocking, consistent mid torque, smoother drive & a little more power after tuning.
