GASGAS gained popularity in the mid-1980s with its trial models, a few trail, enduro and entry-level street motorcycle models. The inspiration for its name comes from its Spanish roots of cheering on others, “Vamos! Gas a fondo… gas gaaas!!!’ which means “C’mon, give it full gas!!!, Go… faster, faster!”. This was then shortened to GASGAS as it is known worldwide today. The simple throttle twisting
hand action encourages people to get on the gas, push harder and and do their very best. In 2019, GASGAS joined the elite Pierer Mobility Group, all geared up to benefit from the Group’s proven experience, success and ambitious plans. We expanded our enduro model lineup and introduced an awesome range of motocross bikes. Competing in world championship trial, enduro, rally, supercross and motocross, GASGAS is now, more than ready to push the boundaries of what’s possible on its bikes away from the race track.
