Being a mechanic means giving more than you get most days. Your hands hurt, your back aches, and the clock doesn’t care how tired you are. People only see the finished job, never the hours of doubt, frustration, and patience it took to get there.

WELDERS (4 POSITIONS)

QUALIFICATION AND ATTRIBUTES

At least a Malawi School Certificate of Education with an Advanced Certificate or Trade Test in welding and Fabrication from TEVETA or any recognized vocational training institution
At least 2 years of practical experience in welding and fabrication
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Good communication skills


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Performing welding and fabrication Tasks on various metal structures
Interpret technical drawings, blue prints, and work orders
Operate welding machines and related equipment safely
Inspect finished work to ensure quality and accuracy
Carry out routine maintenance of welding tools and equipment
Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

The successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and
repairing metal strictures and equipment according to technical specifications and
safety standards.

You see, in life, not everyone will work in an office or wear a suit but everyone can build something meaningful.
I chose to study Solar Photovoltaic (renewable energy) because I believe in power not just electric power, but the power of skills.

I’ll be honest I once had that mindset too. I used to think that technical skills were for failures. I thought success only came from books and offices. But I was wrong.
The moment I touched a solar panel, I realized something powerful, these hands can create change.
Vocational and technical skills are not for failures they’re for builders and dreamers.

In our country, we have sunlight every day and yet, some homes still live in darkness. But with renewable energy and the right skills, we can light up not just houses, but futures.
So to everyone out there who once thought like I did don’t look down on your hands.

If you dont know call Someone better to help. Dont be ashamed to show that you dont know other stuff. Face your challenges HEAD ON.
