🌿 Masonjoany (or Msindzano): The Iconic Malagasy Face Mask

Masonjoany is the most iconic traditional facial cosmetic used by Malagasy women, especially among the Sakalava and Vezo ethnic groups along the western and northern coasts of Madagascar.

✅ Key Features:

Made from: Finely ground wood powder from trees such as the Mpanjaka or Sandalwood tree (Coptosperma madagascariensis)

Applied as a yellow or white paste to the face
