No matter our personal levels of success, we can't forsake the motherland. Yesterday, my daughter walked out of HS and I was so joyful. Do I feel achieved? Yes. But is my family really? A recent visit to the Motherland says otherwise. We can achieve all we want in America, Liberia (Africa's first Republic) will always remind us of our inadequacies.
I continue to argue our problem is not GMW. Neither is EJS nor JNB or ABC. Our problem is SYSTEMIC. And the solutions have to be INTENTIONAL. We have to grow up as a people. The blaming game will take us nowhere. "Who built this road"? or "this hospital"?
No matter who we elect, the country will still be the same. Until we stop personalizing Liberia's problems(blamed ppl we don't like or to replace), and have an INTENTIONAL CONVERSATION, we're just living in denial and deceit. Don't let let no one fool you that one of these "smart Political Leaders" has the magic wand and he/she will just swing it over the country and we will be okay. Da LIE!!
