🪞 BMW X1 E84 – Auto-Dimming Mirrors 🌙

Did you know that some BMW X1 E84 models are equipped with Auto-Dimming / Electrochromic Mirrors?

At night, when bright headlights from a vehicle behind hit the mirror, the mirror glass automatically becomes darker to reduce glare and protect the driver’s eyes. 👀

BMW X1 E84 – What is the CAS Module?

The CAS (Car Access System) is one of the most important electronic modules in the BMW X1 E84.

It works as the vehicle’s key authentication and start-authorisation system. When you insert the key, the CAS verifies the key’s transponder. If the key is authorised, CAS communicates with the engine ECU (DDE/DME) and allows the starter and engine-start process to proceed.
