[Kristian] If you buy me a drink, I will probably tell you the story about how I was wandering along a quiet back road in Kobe and was passed by a daily-driver spec Toyota 2000GT, such is the random awesomeness of Japan at times, but I can't top this one from Josh at Natsustory.
He's hanging out at a PA meet, and in rolls at Lexus LFA. But not just any LFA - an LFA SPYDER. The spyder was never officially produced, and only two prototypes were ever made, one of which is presumably tucked away in a shed at Toyota HQ, and this one in the hands of a private owner who, bless him, seems to get it out and drive it fairly regularly. I suspect this is also the one that Jay Leno drove at one point, so look for that vid.
Note I called it a spyder rather than a convertible, mainly because there's nothing to convert; no roof was ever made for it, hard top, soft top or otherwise. Fair weather driving only, evidently. Also, imagine having no roof and full access to that glorious V10 sound.
