“My greatest professional disappointment has been canceled projects, far more so than any mistakes. Mistakes teach you something. Canceled projects leave a sense of unfinished business. I’ve seen hundreds of cars die before they were even born; it’s part of the job. I still dream about some of them: ideas never truly die; they stay tucked away in a drawer and may resurface twenty years later in different forms.”
