Festival della Montagna di Bardineto. Fatto. ✔️
Che weekend. Non è stato solo un evento dedicato alla mountain bike. È stata un’occasione per incontrare persone, valorizzare il nostro territorio, sostenere le attività locali e fare un altro passo verso un obiettivo condiviso: rendere Bardineto una destinazione outdoor viva durante tutto l’anno.

Un enorme grazie a tutti coloro che hanno partecipato ai tour, sono passati allo stand di Bardineto Outdoor, hanno condiviso idee, sorrisi e tempo con noi.

Questo è solo l’inizio.

Ci vediamo sui sentieri. 🌲🚵🏻

What a weekend.

From the first conversations to the final ride, this wasn’t just about mountain biking. It was about bringing people together, showcasing our mountains, supporting local businesses and taking another step towards building Bardineto as a year-round outdoor destination.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined the rides, visited the Bardineto Outdoor stand, shared ideas and simply spent time with us.

This is only the beginning.

“You can’t ride Finale in July and August.”

I’ve been hearing that since my very first season here, five years ago.

“It’s too hot.”
“Nobody comes in summer.”
“The trails are empty.”

Yet every morning at 9:00, around 60–80 riders are loading onto the first uplifts, heading for the mountains above Finale.

Today I spent the day with Kristian, Rikke, Frida and Frede, a fantastic family visiting Finale from Denmark for the very first time.

Instead of baking on the coast, we rode high above the sea, where the temperatures were cooler, the forests provided shade, and the trails were simply incredible.

The reality is that you can ride Finale in the middle of summer.

The key isn’t avoiding the season.

It’s knowing the mountain.

Knowing which trails stay cool.
Knowing when to climb.
Knowing how to adapt the route to the weather, the group’s energy and everyone’s riding ability.

That’s what a local guide brings to the experience.

Summer doesn’t mean you stop riding.

It just means you ride smarter.

The best rides are never measured by kilometres.

They’re measured by the smiles at every stop, the stories you bring home and the places you never knew existed.

Today we explored forgotten corners, rode through ancient forests, stood beneath giant wind turbines and finished surrounded by incredible street art.

Every trail had something to say.

Every stop became part of the adventure.

This is why we ride.

Some rides aren’t about chasing kilometres.

They’re about perspective.

Today was a reminder of why I started riding mountain bikes in the first place. Not for the numbers on a GPS, not for social media, but for the privilege of reaching places that completely change the way you see the mountains.

Every alpine destination has its own character. Different trails, different terrain, different communities. As a guide, every trip is an opportunity to learn something new that I can bring back to the people who trust me to show them the best riding experiences.

Adventure isn’t always about going further.
Sometimes it’s simply about looking a little further.

One of the biggest weeks of the MTB season starts now. 🤘🚵

I’m heading to La Thuile for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and I couldn’t be more excited.

This week isn’t just about watching some of the fastest riders on the planet.

It’s about catching up with friends, connecting with brands and the MTB industry, discovering new ideas, and spending time in one of Europe’s most iconic mountain bike destinations.

I’ll also be proud to represent Trails Adventure while organising a series of environmental activations with Trash Free Trails, helping keep our trails and race venue cleaner throughout the World Cup week. 🌿💚

Mountain biking gives us incredible places to ride.
Looking after them is all part of the adventure.

Some places never stop surprising you.

Kevin and Tracy have been riding in Finale for 11 years. This was their 16th trip here and the fifth we’ve shared together.

You’d think we’d run out of new trails by now.

We haven’t.

Every day we linked together different singletracks, hidden forest lines, quiet valleys and natural descents they’d never ridden before. That’s what makes Finale so special. It isn’t just a destination with iconic trails—it’s a place where you can keep exploring, year after year, and still come home with new memories.

A huge thank you to the trail builders and volunteers who look after this incredible network, to Finale Outdoor Region, to Finale Freeride and Finale Express for connecting so much of it, and to all the cafés and restaurants that make every ride feel complete.

Five amazing days. Endless conversations. Plenty of laughs.

And a reminder that the best mountain biking isn’t about ticking off famous trails.

It’s about discovering what’s around the next corner.

See you both in September. 🚵🌿
