I think my old XK8 silhouettes were pretty good, but the new ones are much better. I also rendered the convertible with a closed roof, and the XKR versions. The differences between the XK8 and XKR silhouettes are very small. You may spot the rear wing, but the front vent can be visible only in high resolution. So I show you how a SilhouetteHistory car looks from close. Swipe to see the detail and quality my customers expect from my prints.

I thought I will find more XK8/XKR (X100) than XJS in my archive, but I found only three photos of only one car. But what a car!
TLDR: My friends designed and built it.
This is the one-off ProMIZ Customs XKR, what I saw in the flesh in 2011 at the Auto Motor Tuning Show in Budapest, but I already knew it's design much earlier. Krisztián, the owner of the car contacted with me, the founder and editor of .hu in 2009, asking for sketches for his Jaguar S-Type. (See the car in the background.) One of my virtual tuner friends, got the job, and a year later he designed the XKR too. Actually, he "just" rendered the cars, because the ideas and request came from Krisztián. And these Jags became some of the firsts virtual tunings which came to real life.
Hint: tomorrow I post my new X100 silhouettes, but you can already find them in my shop (link in bio).

I tried to find compose some of the finest GT cars into one series for a long time. I knew that the Shelby Daytona Coupe was racing against the Ferrari 250 GTO, and found out that the Jaguar E-Type Lightweight Low Drag Coupe was not only contemporary race car, but they were competing with each others. E.g. at the Le Mans 24 Hours and Goodwood Tourist Trophy in 1964.

I promise, next time I post XJ-S (or XJS) when the rest of the new Jaguar coupe and convertible series is completed, but finally I can show you the prints available in my shop (link in bio). The custom Jags, the complete XJ-S, XJS family, the S1-S2 and the S3 history with Lynx eventer. On the second slide you can see the custom cars closer, including Hess & Eisenhardt Convertible, Lynx Eventer, Koenig Specials, Railton F29 Claremont, Lister Le Mans, PBB Design Monaco, Arden AJ 6 and TWR Supercat. Do you know a Jaguar fan? Tag her or him in the comment, they need to see this post. Thanks, guys!

For me, there is no sightseeing without carspotting. I shot this XJ-S FHC when I visited to Amsterdam in 2008. Don't worry, I will step forward to the next Jaguar grand tourer, as I have only one more spotting.

Here comes the latest restomod XJ-S, the majestic TWR Supercat. Not as super, as my other series with real supercar Jags, but it looks nice.
And what lead me to rendering an aftermarket conversion?
At first I wanted to render only the Hess & Eisenhardt cabriolet (see previous posts) because they were building cars for the Jaguar company, and the Lynx Eventer as it has a new body style. But Lynx led me to the Arden AJ 3 (which is an Eventer?) and the AJ 6, which is a beautiful XJ-S Coupe without the rear buttresses. Almost as beautiful than the Daimler XJ-S Prototype.
And if I have rendered creations of two aftermarket companies, can I miss the Lister? No way, even if don't like their design. They were real supercars of their time, but not beautiful cars at all. You can't change my mind. And finally the Supercat came to balance this with a proper, decent design.
And do you think my custom XJ-S, XJS story is complete? Nope. I have to render the Koenig-Special XJS and the Railton F28 Fairmile/F29 Claremont too.

Can you tell what is this Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato exactly only seeing the first slide? If you were in Cernobbio in 2019 at Concorso d'Eleganza, you may remember. (And do you see that yellow Ferrari 348 TB Zagato Elaborazione in the background?)

My XJS-history is getting closer to being complete, and I've found some interesting cars and facts. The coupe is a Series 1 or 2 FCH. Nothing special just a newly rendered, more accurate silhouette. The next body style arrived with the Series 2: the XJ-SC, a targa cabriolet. The first real convertible was built from coupe bodies by Hess & Eisenhardt coachbuilding firm under contract from Jaguar. It has an amazing story, search for the name and you will find it on Jaguar forums. The station wagon is also an aftermarket conversion, it is the Lynx Eventer (Arden also built an SW called AJ1). The next is the second re-rendered silhouette, the factory-built convertible, and finally an XJR-S coupe, just the rear wing makes it different. Series 3 is coming soon!

It's not the first time when I said, that I don't have more (or any) photos of some cars. I just found that this XJS also a convertible, but I missed it as I saw the thumbnail image. The bonnet says that it's a pre facelift (1988-1991 model). According to the headlights it's a US version, but it does not have the bulky bumpers, so I'm confused again. Aftermarket modification, or I missed something? Experts needed!
