The TVS Star City Plus was the first motorcycle in its segment to feature an all-LED headlight. Along with the BS6 update, the cowl around the headlight has been revised to look a bit sharper while a set of new graphics now make it look sportier. It has a twin-pod analogue cluster with Econometer, tank grips and a USB charging port located just behind the headlamp cowl. As far as safety is concerned, it comes with CBS as standard, with a front disc as an optional accessory.

TVS Star City Plus Engine:

The TVS Star City Plus’s 109cc single-cylinder BS6-compliant motor makes 8.19PS at 7350rpm and 8.7Nm at 4500rpm, mated to a 4-speed transmission. The addition of a fuel injection has improved its throttle response and cold starts compared to the older carbureted version. TVS claims the bike can achieve a top speed of 90kmph, which is perfect for commuters of this class.

TVS Star City Plus Suspension & Brakes:

The commuter-centric Star City Plus employs conventional telescopic forks along with twin rear shocks. You can choose between a drum brake (130mm front and 110mm rear) setup or a front 240mm petal disc as an option. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres.

In its latest iteration, the RTR 160 now gets a new fully digital instrument cluster. The clusters come with three riding modes: Sport, Urban and Rain. They now get voice assist too, a first in the segment. Equipped with TVS’ SmartXonnect, you can connect your smartphone to the motorcycle’s console via Bluetooth, lending access to call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation and a ton of other data. That said, only the top-of-the-line variant gets Bluetooth. The Apache RTR 160 also gets Glide Through Traffic technology, which is a low-speed assist that ensures the bike crawls with just the clutch modulation and no throttle is needed. This should be very helpful on traffic-ridden roads. In order to keep costs in check, it features single-channel ABS instead of a dual-channel unit. The bike now also gets a new LED headlight and tail lamp, with a revised headlight cowl.

TVS Apache RTR 160 Engine:
Powering the TVS Apache RTR 160 is a 159.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. It now makes 16.04PS at 8750rpm and 13.85Nm at 7000rpm, which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. That means it not only makes 0.51PS more, but also weighs 2kg less than its predecessor. That said, the torque has gone down by 0.05Nm.

TVS Apache RTR 160 Suspension & Brakes:
The Apache RTR 160 2V uses a double cradle “Synchrostiff” frame sprung by a telescopic front fork and twin 5-step preload-adjustable rear gas-charged shock absorbers. Its braking hardware consists of a 270mm front petal disc mated to a rear 130mm drum or 230mm petal disc. TVS has now equipped the bike with a wider 120-section tyre at the rear, while the front one continues to be a 90-section unit. The bikes are offered with single-channel ABS as standard for all the three variants.

The TVS Scooty Zest is a bigger-engined, more premium sibling of the Scooty Pep Plus. It is armed with a 110cc engine and slots right between the Pep Plus and the Jupiter.
The BS6-compliant TVS Scooty Zest 110 comes with a bunch of features, including 3D logos, beige interior panels, dual-tone seats, an LED DRL, and an underseat storage light. Complimenting them, it even gets an apron-mounted storage compartment, along with a large 19-litre underseat storage and dual luggage hooks for added convenience.

TVS Scooty Zest 110 Engine:

The TVS Scooty Zest 110 BS6 employs a 110cc air-cooled engine with Eco-Thrust Fuel Injection technology. This motor churns out 7.81PS and 8.8Nm, which is 0.18PS less powerful but 0.4Nm torquier than its previous BS4 iteration.

TVS Scooty Zest 110 Suspension & Brakes:
Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork and a monoshock while drum brakes at both ends help anchor the scooter. It comes equipped with 10-inch steel wheels wrapped with 90-section tubeless tyres on both the ends.

The TVS NTorq 125 is a feature-packed scooter. It was the first TVS two-wheeler to get an all-digital console equipped with smartphone connectivity, which TVS calls SmartXonnect. You can also pair your phone and get ride data analytics, call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and vehicle diagnostics alerts. The TVS NTorq 125 Race XP edition comes with a refreshed user interface and voice-assist function along with the ability to save addresses that you have frequently visited. The XT variant however features a TFT and LCD combined instrument console, active voice command, TVS’ IntelliGO technology (start-stop tech), a pair of stylish new light-weight alloy wheels and a new neon-green colour.

On the other hand, you get snazzier graphics, a hazard light switch, and an LED headlight on the TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition. The TVS NTorq 125 SuperSquad Edition is actually based on the Race Edition. However, it gets a custom user interface for the SmartXonnect application, apart from the exclusive Marvel-themed livery.

TVS NTorq 125 Engine:
The TVS NTorq is powered by the same 124.8cc single-cylinder fuel-injected mill churning out 9.38PS and 10.5Nm. On the other hand, the TVS NTorq 125 Race XP edition produces 10.2PS and 10.8Nm, which is 0.82PS and 0.3Nm more than the standard variant. Additionally, it also comes with Race riding mode for better acceleration and a claimed top speed of 98kmph. The Street riding mode is ideal for travelling through traffic-ridden roads and maximising mileage.

TVS NTorq 125 Suspension & Brakes:
The NTorq gets a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension arrangement. The front disc brake remains optional, but CBS is standard across all the trims. The kerb weight of the NTorq 125 stands at 118kg.

The Scooty Pep is an entry-level scooter by TVS introduced in 2003 that is aimed at young Indian women. The scooter later received a major revamp and was rebadged as the Scooty Pep Plus. It features compact dimensions and light-weight that make it easy to handle and manoeuvre.

The TVS Scooty Pep+ is powered by an 87.8 cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine which received fuel-injection at the time of BS6 transition. Surprisingly, despite the more constrained emissions, it makes more power and torque than the BS4 model at 5.3bhp and 6.5Nm. The scooter is suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear while braking is done by drum brakes at both ends with Synchronized Braking Technology (SBT).

On the feature front, the Scooty Pep Plus comes with mobile charger socket, side stand alarm, under-seat storage hooks, DRLs, an open glove box and TVS's patented ‘Eazy’ Stand technology, which reduces the effort required to put the vehicle on the centre stand by 30 per cent. The matte finish version comes with few additional features like a 3D emblem, jazzier set of graphics and premium textured seat. TVS has also added a special ‘Mudhal Kadal Edition’. It is specifically made for Tamil Nadu and features the logo in Tamil and a new paint scheme.
