2011 Audi A6 2.8 FSI

This 2011 Audi A6 2.8 FSI came to us with a major misfire, cylinder deactivation, juddering under load, and intake manifold flap faults. After proper diagnosis—not simply swapping parts—we traced the issue to the intake manifold flap reversing valve and rectified it, along with fitting brand-new OEM spark plugs.
While going through the car, we also addressed a number of age-related issues: the front coolant pipe, seals and coolant temperature sensor were replaced, and the heavily leaking valve cover gaskets were renewed. The oil had been accumulating on the exhaust manifolds and causing burning smells under load, so this was something we definitely didn’t want to leave behind.
The cooling system was refreshed with quality Eurol coolant concentrate to keep temperatures under control, even under hard acceleration.
And then came the bonus discovery during the final road test—the front-left air suspension wasn’t holding pressure. We found a leaking compressor-to-strut air line, And someone in their Infinite Wisdom routed the Air line around the exhaust. 😅 Needless to say, that was corrected properly as well.
A thorough diagnosis, a few well-timed discoveries, and a lot of preventive maintenance later, this A6 is back where it belongs—running right, riding right, and ready to roar. 🖤
