This 1987 Yamaha FZR250 was found in scrap-heap condition, covered in dirt and badly neglected. Instead of letting this classic motorcycle remain forgotten, I decided to give it a complete second life.

In this full restoration, I tear down the Yamaha FZR250 and go through the process of bringing it back piece by piece. The bike is cleaned, inspected, repaired, rebuilt, and restored before everything comes together for the final transformation.

From the initial teardown to the mechanical work, restoration, detailing, and final assembly, this project shows just how much work can go into saving an old motorcycle from scrap.

After all the work is finished, the real question is whether this 1987 Yamaha FZR250 can look and feel like the motorcycle it once was.
