mobiles (OICA). The 10th Auto Expo in Retrospect
The curtain finally came down on the 10th Auto Expo held in New Delhi from January 5 to 11, 2010. Organised by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the show in its silver jubilee year, witnessed nearly 72 launches. This included more than 10 global launches comprising passenger vehicles and two-wheelers. A complete show for the automotive industry including automobiles, components, accessories and allied services the show was inaugurated by Mr Kamal Nath, Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India and Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Also present on the occasion were Mr Gurudas Kamat, Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology and diplomats representing various countries, government officials, senior representative from the automotive sector, international and domestic exhibitors and media.
