Shell Eco-marathon, is a Shell sponsored educational event held worldwide, annually (Asia, Europe, and Americas). It targets the following areas:
• Designing, manufacturing and driving a super mileage, energy efficient and Eco-friendly vehicle.
• Attainment of highest possible energy efficiency.
• Providing an opportunity to young engineers and students to implement practical and technical aspect
s of their education.
• Encouragement to students to find potential solutions for current and future energy crisis, faced by the automobile sector, using their innovative ideas. Shell Eco-marathon is mainly divided into two basic categories:
• Prototype; a concept car that is developed keeping in view the futuristic needs of fuel-efficiency. This three-wheeled vehicle has to be designed keeping a prime focus on drag reduction and maximum fuel efficiency.
• Urban; a conventional four-wheeled vehicle that can match the attributes of a modern-day vehicle with an enhanced efficiency of fuel. The vehicle covering the maximum distance, against a minimum energy consumed , stands out as a winner. Team Members:-
