Statement from President of the Religious Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais

"Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, affirmed that one of the greatest forms of worship and obedience in the Two Holy Mosques is adhering to security instructions, maintaining order, and following the guidance of security personnel and crowd organizers at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. He emphasized that this is itself an act of devotion and a means of drawing closer to Allah Almighty, as it contributes to protecting lives and safeguarding the sanctity of the holy sites.

His Excellency explained that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken upon itself the care of the Two Holy Mosques, the service of their visitors, the protection of their security, and the preservation of the tranquility of their pilgrims. Therefore, it is incumbent upon every visitor and pilgrim to fear Allah and to adhere to the regulations that achieve the public good and ensure the safety of all.

He concluded by stressing that the security of the Two Holy Mosques and the safety of their visitors are a red line that cannot be crossed or neglected. Preserving them, he said, is a religious duty and a collective responsibility shared by all to realize the common good and maintain peace and security in the Sacred Mosque of Allah and the Mosque of His Messenger ﷺ.”
