RIP: Sinead O’Connor, Irish singer whose musical cover of the Prince song “Nothing Compares 2 U” in 1990 rocketed her to international stardom passed away today. She was 56 years old.
O’Connor’s hit song was off of her second album. She was also noted for a “Saturday Night Live” appearance in 2013, when she tore up a photo of Pope John Paul in protest of continual sexual abuses by priests in the Catholic Church.
Cause of death was not released. Funeral arrangements are pending.

RIP Tony Bennett, iconic American song stylist, jazz singer and human rights activist.
Mr Bennett, one of America’s greatest singers, had a career that spanned from the 50s with Frank Sinatra and Count Basie; to very recently with Lady Gaga.
He is perhaps best known for his seminal hit song “I left my heart in San Francisco”.
Mr Bennett was 96 years old. He passed away at his Manhattan home today.
Funeral arrangements are pending.

Carlee Russell, missing Alabama woman, found SAFE and is at home!

Carlee Russell, missing just over 48 hours, returned home safe Saturday night.

Hoover 911 was called at approximately 10:45 p.m. after the 25-year-old nursing student returned to the Hoover home she shares with her parents.

Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis said Russell showed up at her parents house alone. She was taken by paramedics to a hospital for evaluation.

Today is the birthday 🎂 of the great Lee Morgan, my favorite trumpet 🎺 player and arguably one of the best who played the instrument. Born in 1938, he passed far too soon at the age of 33 while performing at Slugs Nightclub, New York in 1972. He would have been 85 years old today.

We have an expression that is used to describe Black people who actively oppose progress of other Black people:
“Crabs in a barrel”.
When crabs are caught in a barrel, and one tries to escape; the others drag him back into the barrel.
This is Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas. Perhaps the most disingenuous fraudulent public official in America today.
From his corruption from billionaire Harlan Crow paying for luxury trips and his mother’s house; to his domestic terrorist wife Ginny Thomas who was an active planner of the January 6th insurrection.
Thomas is the main reason the majority of Americans do not consider the Supreme Court to be valid or legitimate.
Thomas must go. Period.
