Record crowds for our 2019 Point to Point & Country Fair at Dowth. A glorious day which celebrated the very best of community spirit, country life and horse racing.
Six races were held over 3 miles and 15 fences, with trainer Michael Murphy & Tiernan Roche Power securing a double on the card and local trainer Nigel Slevin also bagged a winner in the final race of the day.

The increasingly popular Dowth Dog Show had a record number of entries. The overall prize for Dowth Champion Dog went to a miniature Doberman Pinscher called Rocky and his owner Lisa Murphy from Navan, with the Reserve Champion rosette going to Louise Conway from Donore and her Portugese Water dog called Ginny. Prizes were sponsored by very generous sponsors Equipet and the winners also got a bag of Feedwell dog biscuits.
An extensive Kids Zone kept children amused with lots of activities, which included a new bale maze, puppet shows, face-painting, bouncy castles, pumpkin carving with the pop-up Ladyrath Lane Pumpkin Patch, Halloween crafts, outdoor tractor games, pony rides, the Slane GFC Skill Zone plus the interactive GIY (Grow It Yourself) exhibit.
