Thinking about getting your motorcycle licence?

This is Chloe getting stuck into her IBT with us. Everyone has to start somewhere, and you definitely don’t need to arrive knowing how to ride a motorcycle. That would make my job suspiciously easy.

We’ll take you through it step by step, from the basics of controlling the bike through to getting out on the road and putting it all together.

Motorcycles provided, plenty of patience provided, dodgy jokes unfortunately also provided.

If you’ve got the learner permit sitting in the drawer and keep saying “I’ll get around to it”, this is your sign.

Struggle with U-turns, tight turns, car parks or controlling a heavier bike at walking pace?

Our Motorcycle Slow-Speed Control Course is designed to help you build better balance, smoother control and more confidence on the bike.

Over the 3-hour session we’ll work on clutch and throttle control, rear brake use, body positioning, counterbalancing, slow riding, U-turns, figure-eights, slalom exercises, tight manoeuvres and emergency stopping.

This course is suitable for newer riders, riders returning after a break, or experienced motorcyclists who simply want to sharpen up their machine control.

And you do not need to bring your own bike. A motorcycle is provided for the course.

If you've spent the summer looking at bikes on DoneDeal, watching YouTube videos and telling everyone "I'm definitely getting the licence sorted this year", at some stage you're actually going to have to do something about it.

That's where I come in.

We'll start at the beginning, get you comfortable with the bike, build the skills properly and get you out on the road. No heroics required. We've enough of them already.

Bike hire is included, so you don't need to own a motorcycle to get started.

Fair play to every one of ye. Plenty of practice, a few nerves, probably a bit of abuse from me along the way, and now the job is done.

Enjoy the licences, enjoy the bikes and keep the shiny side up.

The rain certainly made things a bit more interesting, but it didn't stop any of you. You all kept your heads, rode well, and earned your full motorcycle licences. A brilliant result and one to be proud of.

It's been great working with each of you, watching your confidence and skills grow from the first lesson through to test day. Now the real adventure begins. Enjoy every mile, ride within your limits, and stay safe.
