Hello All,

We may not do Terraclean at Rebel Motor Group any longer but we did launch Vanparts.ie in 2020 :) Please give our page a follow.

While we launched in 2020 we are by no means a new company, owned by Rebel Motor Group (www.rebelmg.com) we have more than 18 years experience in the motor trade, starting off in the hands on under the bonnet side of the business and 10 years ago moving into the supply of high quality parts, so we know what mechanics want!!!!

From Cars to Ambulances, it doesn't matter what you run, we can pretty much anything with an internal combustion engine.
After 240,000 an Iveco Ambulance was due a bit of TLC to ensure it remained reliable - vital for this .

They reported that it is now running smoother, quieter and more responsive, with lower bills, and that all important improved reliability, giving the operators confidence it will perform.

It is very common in the TerraClean network for dealers such as ourselves to be presented with vehicles with Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) related problems. Cars which have been to other garages or are even being brought to us by other garages - who simply cannot resolve the problems.

We can, because we have the knowledge and experience - plus the technical support, if required, of hundreds of other TC dealers.

Here are examples; 2 vehicles which one of our fellow dealers recently resolved and got back on the road, fully operational - faults resolved and without any warning lights.

A & a Ford

Landrover DPFs are known to block, often due to driving style. This one also had a kinked pressure pipe where another garage had attempted to repair the fault! Fixed the pipe, carried out a clean and ensured the vehicle was able to regenerate on its own .

The Ford Ranger had to be towed into them with an engine warning light on. Diagnosed with a blocked DPF due to depleted Adblue. They carried out a clean, topped up the AdBlue and carried out a re-gen. Another happy customer . All done quickly - because they knew what to do.

If your vehicle has a warning light, don't go round the houses, come to us, your local operator first. Have it fixed first time by expert technicians who understand the technology and can quickly get to the solution.

If you think your car may need a DPF clean? Read on ......

Check out this diary of a fellow TerraClean technician;

80% of the DPF faults attended this week did not need a DPF clean.

100% of DPF problems this week had an underlying issue causing the DPF fault. We identified every one of them correctly, first time.

Professional technicians such as those in the TerraClean network start with their own diagnostics before committing to cost of repair or confirming a need to clean.

The list of 10 for this week....

Mondeo 2.0tdci Required a Thermostat & Regeneration (self clean)
Transit 2.2tdci. Required an Exhaust temp sensor & a DPF Clean
Golf 2.0tdi. Required an inlet manifold and a DPF Clean
Astra 2.0cdti. Requires Glow Plugs & a software update
Merc C220d. Required air filter and software update & regeneration
Mondeo 2.0tdci. Required DPF pressure sensor pipes fitting the correct way after another garage replaced them incorrectly.
Golf 1.6tdi. Required a forced driven regeneration as owner had ignored DPF light.
S Max 2.2. Requires a fuel Vaporiser
Honda CRV Requires a Diesel Oxidising Catalyst
Mondeo 2.2tdci. Required a fuel Vaporiser and a driven regeneration

10 vehicles with DPF faults, where owners had asked about having them cleaned.

2 (only) were cleaned
9 needed other work &
1 needed the driver advising of what they should do when the warning light comes on.

Other companies may well have carried out the requested cleans & not addressed the causes of the problems. A cleaned DPF may block again quickly, if the cause of the blockage is not addressed.

Do you store your motorcycle over the winter?

💨 This Ford Ranger was transported in to one of our fellow dealers with a completely . The truck wouldn’t even run! There are those in the trade who would remove it (making vehicle illegal for use on public roads). There are those who would suggest it was beyond economical repair and offer to replace it.

The key to getting the best result for the owner was professional by a technician with the knowledge and understanding of DPF technology.
TerraClean dealers have the knowledge and experience required and a massive network of other dealers to use as a knowledge bank if needed.

Diagnostics done - 🔥 A few hours later, the DPF was restored to full functionality without the need of being removed or replaced. Saving the owner £££s.

A question which has been asked since we first introduced the TerraClean technology into the market, is can you TerraClean my Motorcycle, Petrol Car, Diesel Car, Van, Truck .... & More.

Here is a great example of the type of thing which can benefit from a TerraClean Fuel system clean - a Compressor. It is just one example of "something else" the technology can improve.

If it has an internal combustion engine (with a limited number of exceptions) it is highly likely we can clean the fuel system for you using TerraClean technology. The TC official service centre used as part of a routine service for the owner along with other standard service processes.

Many people are now aware that the DPF part of their exhaust system can block and cause problems. Another component which can be blocked by carbon build up is an EGR System (EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation).

As a dealer we have a great tool for cleaning that component, when required.

Check out this Rav4 having its EGR systems cleaned.

Development of such a blockage can cause reduced power, misfiring, smoking and reduced MPG in diesel vehicles.

Cleaning EGR systems has traditionally involved component removal and cleaning by hand, or full EGR valve replacement, both of which can be labour-intensive and expensive. Not any more...

The TerraDiesel EGR System Cleaning Tool enables us to clean, and restore, an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system without the need to dismantle. The tool works by applying TerraDiesel EGR and Induction System patented Cleaner into the system to remove stubborn carbon deposits.

Please note that replacing the EGR Valve on its own is a quick fix which many companies do - and will eliminate the issue BUT only for a short time. The value is only one part of the system, carbon will remain built up in other parts of the system. Our process will clean the full system.

Also dealers have the expertise to correctly diagnose, & make the right decision on how to proceed- repair, clean or replace a faulty EGR component.

***COVID-19 UPDATE***

After the government announced a lifting of restrictions from Monday May the 18th we are delighted to confirm that we will be open for business from today (18th May).

We have implemented all the necessary measures to ensure that our business can operate in a safe manner for everyone involved, this includes in the Motor Factors, a full cleaning of all areas the installation of a screen at the counter and a hand sanitisation station that we encourage everyone to use.
For our workshop all surfaces and tools have been cleaned and we have purchased clean kits and vehicle sanitising equipment to disinfect every vehicle before and after we work on it.

Some changes to how we operate will have to be implemented, these may change as we adapt to this new normal and any updates will be posted here and across all social media.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support during these strange times.
