Now that’s what I call a good start to a championship 🙌 58 point lead in the championship, 4/6 wins and 6/6 podiums 🤌🏻 couldn’t have asked for much more

Qualifying- P2 - difficult qualifying session in drying conditions, lead the session until the last minute and got pipped by 0.006 of a second🙈 well done to Max Wherity savage going

Race 1 - P1 - Couldn’t have asked for more this race, it was absolutely lashing but I was able to find plenty of grip and was happy with how the bike felt, I kept my head down and pushed the gap to over 5 second💪 well done team🙌

Race 2 - P2 - another difficult race, we made a wrong choice in tyres, we chose wets and the rest chose drys so as you’d expect I struggled a lot🤣 I tried my best to stay ahead but half way through the race I couldn’t hold it as the tyres overheated, we held decent pace despite holding consistent 59 second laps, best of a bad situation 💪

Race 3 - P1 - first and only dry race of the weekend 🙌 I managed to hold the lead but I found I was struggling in corner entry with chatter and rear grip on exit, once again well done team for the effort🙌

Race 4 - P1 - another half wet half dry race struggling with overheating tyres but we kept the head down and just about held the lead, I take my hat off to for his pace this weekend, he kept me on my toes and he didn’t make it easy, well done🙌

I’m very pleased with this weekend and I’m very grateful for everyone that helped, thanks to .brandon_10 for the help with bike setup and of course my family and supporters for the continued support 🙌

Saturdays racing ✅✊
A solid day in the office in difficult conditions, we had a drying track in qualifying and lead the session by 2 seconds until the last minute I dropped to second, well done to for the pole position, serious pace. We couldn’t have asked for much more in race 1, I lead the race from the start and controlled it in very wet conditions, we managed to pull over a 5 seconds gap to second place, very pleased with it. Race 2 was a gamble, we went out on wets thinking it would rain but no rain came, as you know wets on a fully dry track isn’t ideal🤣 we managed to hold second place just about battling with lads on slicks.
Overall a solid day, let’s go one better today😉💪

Tomorrow, we go again😉 we’ve had a busy past week at the Nw200, with it being my first road race I’ve ever watched in person it was truly incredible, an eventful one to say the least.

A massive thanks to Stephen Magill for the countless hours he spent stripping my bike and getting it running 100% and ironing out the issues we had at the first round, I’m beyond grateful for it🙏

Now, we focus on doing our best and continue to build confidence on this bike💪the tlc has been done to both the bike and the rider😉 watch this space.

Well done team🙌 some serious work being put in behind the scenes ✊

Some posers 🤪 Hats off to Stephen and Eoghan they have put in some effort this week including fitting a fresh R6 Engine last night🐎 🐎.
Very busy day tomorrow with 5 races for Kevin and the Team. Great to see the crowds around the paddock today and thanks to everyone who called by our awning for a chat.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the fallen rider from Wednesdays red flag incident 🙏 Also to the injured riders,wishing you a speedy recovery.

She’s looking unreal 😍

Round 1 ✅

A tricky first round starts the season in the best way we could have hoped for, although conditions were far from ideal both myself and team did our very best to adapt to it as quickly as possible and I am very grateful for the team for the support they have given me all winter to get us to this point.

📌Qualifying - P1 (-0.6) - A patchy track but I was able to find some pace in other places of the track

📌Race 1 - P1 (-3.4) - We had a picture perfect start and lead the race from the get go, I found pace early on and pulled the pin to stretch the gap to 4 seconds and once there was 4 laps to go I decided to control the race and drop the pace a bit to bring it home. Couldn’t have asked for more🙌

📌Race 2 - Canceled

📌Race 3 - P2 - A difficult race in far from ideal conditions, half wet half dry, I struggled to find the pace I had in race 1 but I am delighted with the result. Well done to Finnan for the win, you held savage pace for the whole race🙌

Overall I am over the moon with this result and I couldn’t thank my family and team enough for it🙌 we are now leading the championship by 4 points going into the next round, Watch this space😉🤪 And thanks Kev for the use of your suit😁

As we continue our support of Fionn O'Connell Racing we want to wish Fionn and all the competitors participating at this year's Principal Insurance Masters Superbike Championship the best of luck ahead of tomorrow's first round. Never mind the weather forecast, as we all know mondello has its own climate 🤪 Looking forward to seeing it all unfold this year. I think we will see some new lap records 🤩
