Why would I bring a toolbox to a car meet?

A huge thank you to Jack W. from Singapore and Terry O. from Johor Bahru for placing their trust in me. Even though we haven’t met in person yet, they were confident enough to let me work on their lovely cars and trusted my installation skills. 🤭

This time, I was able to help answer a question that many owners have been wondering:

“Can the (4is) IS300 Luxury and IS300h Hybrid be upgraded with the F SPORT instrument cluster?”

I hope this installation summary and sharing will provide a clearer direction and useful reference for anyone planning the same upgrade in the future. 😎

这次我们为他的爱车进行了全车室内按键灯光升级，将原厂经典的绿色按键灯全面升级为现代感十足的白色 LED 灯光，让整个驾驶座舱焕然一新。

Lexus 2IS 即使到了今天，外观依然非常耐看，但原厂绿色按键灯却显得有些年代感，与整体车厢质感不太协调。

除了按键灯光升级之外，我们也一并修复了仪表中央 LCD 模糊的问题，并将因老化而失去灯光的仪表长、短指针升级为红色背光，让夜间显示更清晰，也增添了几分运动气息。

经典可以保留，质感可以升级，让这辆经典 2IS 再次跟上时代的步伐。

A big thank you to Mr. Derrick from Ipoh for trusting us with his interior lighting upgrade!

This project involved a complete interior button LED conversion, replacing every factory green button light with modern white LEDs, giving the cabin a fresh, premium, and contemporary appearance.

The second-generation Lexus IS (2IS) still looks timeless on the outside, but the factory green illumination makes the interior feel dated compared to modern vehicles.

Besides upgrading the interior button lighting, we also restored the blurry instrument cluster LCD and upgraded the long and short gauge needles to red illumination, replacing the failed factory lighting for improved visibility and a sportier look at night.

Classic styling deserves a modern touch, bringing this iconic 2IS into today’s era while preserving its original character.
