Swipe through to see what a proper two-step paint correction can do.
Over time, swirls, oxidation, and everyday wear had taken some of the life out of this Kawasaki Vulcan S's finish. Through a combination of cutting and refining, we brought back the clarity, gloss, and depth that had been hiding beneath the defects.
Pay close attention to the metallic flake in the orange paint. As the defects are removed, the colour becomes richer, reflections sharpen, and the finish takes on a whole new level of depth.
The 50/50 shots say it all—one side corrected, the other untouched.
For the correction, I leaned heavily on The Last Cut+ for the initial cutting stage, bringing in 3D ACA 500 where a little extra bite was needed. After a panel wipe, Sonax Perfect Finish was used to refine the surface, boost gloss, and really make the metallic paint pop. The work was carried out using a 3-inch DA and mini rotary, allowing me to precisely correct every curve, edge, and hard-to-reach area on the bike.
