Reuben this weekend headed up to culham for the BSMA nationals
Saturday saw him going 4th-3rd-3rd siting 3rd overall after day ones racing 👍
With some over night rain the track was as good as it gets on Sunday with Reuben taking both holeshots going 5th & 2nd which was enough to give him 3rd overall for the weekend.

So this weekend was round 7 of the REVO MXGB at Blaxhall.
With only Shaun in the big wheel class required this weekend the two small wheel boys were either racing or practicing.
Qualifying saw Shaun finish down in 10th not where he wanted to be, but rode a solid 6-6 in both races for 6th overall
Just not quite on the pace of the front 4 this weekend but some good points in the bag nevertheless.
Next stop for the team is Dunn’s in just over two weeks time.

Good to hear from Harlows mum that H is starting to do some flat work riding and his pins will hopefully be removed at the end of the year👍
Then it’s all about recovery to get ready for the 2022 season in the big wheel class

Only two jockeys to report any racing from over the weekend.
Sonny was out raced finningley on Sunday.
Wasn’t the best day for Sonny In his eyes, going 2nd in race one, then an 8th in race two after an off on the last lap. The last race of the day Sonny fell on the first lap while in second but came back from dead last to come home in 6th for 5th overall.
Not where Sonny wanted to be but all learnings for the young jockey to come back stronger next time.

Reuben did a last minute wildcard at the British Schoolboys (BSMA) at Bodmin.
The Saturday saw Reuben qualify 10th in practice on a heavily watered track due to the hot weather conditions.
Race one with not the best start found himself pulling up to 2nd which is where he would finish, a similar start in race two but brought it home for 3rd, the last race of the day was Reubens worse result after two off’s and bent bars coming home in 5th which left him 3rd overall going into Sunday.
Day two saw Reuben pushing with a comfortable 2nd place finish to pull some needed points back to be tied on points going into the last race of the weekend knowing he only needed to beat one rider for 2nd overall he rode smart to do exactly that for 2nd overall.
Well done to both the boys riding in the heat this weekend it was rather warm 🤟

The long haul took the team to Whitby for Rd6 of the Revo MXGB. The weather held up and the harbour fish & chip stood up to it name.

Sonny had his best qualifying to date going P6, showing he can run near the front of the pack, Sonny ended up with a real solid weekend going 11-10-9-9 for 9th overall.
The top 10 is always the plan for our two SW85 riders in the first year of team BGR so 9th was within the target.
Reuben still struggling with morning nerves qualified P16 which isn’t giving him any chance with good gate choice for the days racing, but as the weekend went on the nerves were eased with Reuben going 13-13-13-10 for 11th overall just outside the top 10 again but I feel a top ten is coming soon for the Gossy jockey.
Shaun was again running in the top 3 qualifying P3
Gating this weekend for Shaun was great in Race one Shaun was sat in 2nd for most of the race but ended up a solid 3rd races two & three were both fourth place finished and race 4 was 6th which gave Shaun 5th overall for the weekend.

Rd7 takes the Big Wheel riders to Blaxhall giving the two Small Wheel Boys a couple weeks off before we take the trek up to Dunn’s in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Well done to all the Gossy jockeys giving maximum effort as always.

H is still in recovery but all seems to be going to plan, so we all look forward to getting the bear back with us all soon.

Well that’s rd5 of the REVO MXGB littlesilver out the way with a weeks break now before we head to Whitby for Rd6

Both the boys in the Small wheel class struggled this weekend gating which made it hard work for consistency in results, really showed this weekend with the steep uphills the standard engines are not quite there, both boys time splits were thereabouts so happy with their pace

On the other hand in Big Wheels Shaun was fastest all weekend qualifying in P1 and a few mistakes on the Saturday seen Shaun with P6 in both races which was disappointing after showing great speed
Sunday was a different Shaun sat comfortably in 2nd trying to make a pass on the leader he lost the front and dropped back to a solid 3rd place finish
Last race Shaun was leading by a large margin and again lost the front to drop back to 3rd

Up & down weekend but as a team we are happy with the boys efforts 🤟
