Today was a fantastic day for Phoebe passing her driving test with me at Worthing test centre 1st time. It’s fair to say learning to drive was pretty scary for Phoebe but she worked super hard and got the result she deserved.

4 years ago I taught Phoebe’s younger brother Joe who also passed 1st time with me. What a duo! 💪

What a day for Charlotte to pass her driving test! Absolutely manic traffic all around the local area and pouring rain this morning making everyone a little tight for time. Pressure was on for Charlotte as this really was a one and done opportunity- she moves away tomorrow to start Uni! A fantastic first time pass with just 2 driver faults in some horrid conditions. Well done Charlotte, now go and enjoy Uni life 🚗🚗

Sophie Miles passed her driving test with me in May this year, now she’s on the news trying out bus driving - go Sophie 💪🚌

Two of my other past learners are already working as bus drivers. It’s always a privilege to see my learners succeeding.

Congratulations to my learner Abigail who passed her test 1st time in Worthing this morning.

Abigail came to me a month ago needing some lessons to polish up her driving skills and get test ready. I was already booked to be on holiday today so her mum took her to test. Those 7 lessons we had together paid off and she was rewarded with a well deserved first time pass 🎉

E-scooters and E-bikes - know the facts!

Last month, five e-scooters were seized during a proactive one-day operation in Bognor Regis town centre, all of which have been passed for destruction.

We are increasingly seeing the illegal and dangerous use of e-scooters and e-bikes in public areas, including roads, pavements, and pedestrian zones. Many of these vehicles are not road legal, uninsured, and are often ridden without helmets or proper training—putting both the riders and the public at risk.

⚠️ What you need to know ⚠️

🛴 E-scooters are classed as motor vehicles under the Road Traffic Act 1988, meaning that the rules that apply to motor vehicles, also apply to e-scooters

🛴 It is illegal to use a privately owed e-scooter on the road or in public spaces, such as parks, street pavements, and shopping centres. If you own an e-scooter, you can ONLY use it in on private land, such as in a garden, but you must have the permission of the landowner to do so

🛴 If you use a privately-owned e-scooter in public, you risk the vehicle being seized under S.165 Road Traffic Act 1988 for having no insurance

🚲 Only electrically assisted pedal cycles (EAPCs) are classed as road legal, and can be used without a licence or insurance if you're 14 or over, but they...

- must have pedals that you can use to propel it
- must have an electric motor that can run continuously at a maximum power of no more than 250 watts
- must have no electrical assistance once you reach 15.5 miles per hour (mph)

🚲 If your electric bike fails to meet any of these requirements, it needs to be taxed and insured as either a motorcycle or moped

Our priority is always community safety, and we're aware of the nuisance that the anti-social and illegal use of these vehicles are causing within our community.

We are working hard to conduct patrols, complete proactive enforcement and gather information in order to tackle this issue. If you have any concerns or information that may be relevant, please contact us online or via 101, or report anonymously through Crimestoppers. In an emergency, please dial 999.
