As a childminder my primary aim is to ensure your children are happy, safe and stimulated during their time with me. I offer a warm, homely and interesting environment which nurtures children’s social interaction by allowing them both freedom to choose and time to discover. My ‘home from home’ environment encourages a joy of learning, curiosity, creativity and imagination, facilitating a positive foundation that will grow with your child way beyond their early years. I am a happy and motivated person who loves working with children of all ages. I have spent the last six years working as a year 2 primary teacher and so am experienced in working with a wide range of children of all abilities, personalities and backgrounds. I also have a daughter who has just turned one. I strive for every parent to feel happy in the knowledge that, whilst they are working, their precious little ones are receiving a reliable and professional service. Parents know their children better than anyone else and therefore I aim to work alongside all parents to ensure your children benefit from a consistent approach and to guarantee that you are completely happy with the service you receive. I have an open door policy and wholeheartedly hope that you feel happy to discuss any worries, concerns or ideas that you may have with me. I have a wide range of toys available for the children to play with, as well as a secure garden for outside play. Alongside this the children in my care benefit from outings to a range of places including the park, beach, shops, library, childminding groups and Puxton Park. We also enjoy art and craft sessions, music sessions, messy play and even learn some basic sign language! Your child will have a learning diary that will grow alongside them containing observations, photos, creative work and more; this is a great keepsake for you to cherish for years to come. In addition to this I will also complete daily record sheets which your child will bring home with them at the end of each day detailing the specifics of their day.
