🛠️THIS CAR CAME IN RUNNING!!🛠️

The car came to us with some running issues and the engine management light on. We code scanned it to find we had a camshaft and crankshaft correlation fault. With permission we removed the rocker to check the timing of the engine to find that it was out.

We then proceeded with further strip down and going through the pictures you’ll see what we found!! The main guide for the timing chain had broken which had caused timing to move. We removed the old timing chain, guides and tensioner and replaced with new. Rechecked the timing and it was spot on. Got the car back up and running with no other implications to doing the timing chain.

Whilst we had the car we gave it a service and also noticed the passenger front coil spring had broken so we replaced that too whilst it was here. How this car was running is beyond me but the customer is one lucky person!!

⚙️ One of the jobs we carried out from the last couple of weeks. Customer got in contact with us as his rear brake had stuck on causing the wheel not to turn. We got the car in and had a bit of a fight with the removing the drum. Once off we found the brake shoe material had broken away causing the brake to stick on. We carried out replacement of the rear brake shoes and adjusted the rear brakes and handbrake accordingly.

🛠️ A couple of jobs we've done recently 🛠️

The first one is a clutch replacement on a Toyota RAV4. As you can see from the first photo the clutch had seen much better days and had worn right down to the rivets.

The other job was a replacement starter motor and also changed the driver's front brake hose on a Renault Laguna. The customer had supplied their own starter motor for this job and we sourced the new brake hose for them.

Both cars were back on the road and fixed all within the same day!! Need any work then don't hesitate to get in contact with us and we can see if we can help you!!

Sorry it's been quiet on here been meaning to make posts but been so busy I always forget 🤣 here's a couple of jobs we've done recently.

Peugeot partner for replacement lower suspension arms and an outer CV boot.

Citroen space tourer for replacement rocker cover gasket.

Vauxhall Corsa for a fuel leak near the fuel tank which was found to be a crack in the fuel filter.

A couple of jobs we'd had this week 🛠️

Toyota RAV4 we replaced its front discs and pads. As you can see the customer managed to get all of the life out of the pads before they needed changing and before they travel to the isle of wight at the end of the month.

VW touareg customer supplied us with two front upper suspension arms to be replaced as they were a MOT advisory and they will be using the vehicle a lot for towing. We also did an oil and filter change on the car which the customer supplied us the parts with as well.

We are pretty well booked up for the next coming week but if you need any work carrying out then please don't hesitate to call or message and I'll see what we can do for you 🛠️

The other day we carried out a sump replacement on a Skoda fabia VRS. The customer supplied us with a S-Tune shallow sump which gives him 11mm more ground clearance compared to the original sump. We also carried out an oil and filter change whilst we had the car using valvoline oil. Nothing but the best quality parts used 💪

A couple of jobs we have done over the last couple of evenings. The first one being a fuel filter replacement due to excessive water in the filter causing running issues on a L200.

The second one being a starter motor replacement on a ford S-Max with a customer supplied part.

Recently we worked on a l200 that had the dpf light flashing on the dash. We code read it and it came up with the fault code of the oil level being too high. Just to confirm this fault code we manually check the oil level as well which coincides with our fault code.
Since the car was near its annual service the customer agreed for us to carry one out. So we did a small service along with replacing the air filter as that had seen better days.
Now with the correct oil level we could clear the fault code and reset the service interval and light has now gone out.
