🇯🇵 JAPAN FIND – JUST BOUGHT 🇯🇵
2010 Toyota Alphard 2.4 240X WELLcab
Only 27,000 Miles | Grade 4 | 7 Seats
Something a little different has just joined our Japan purchases…and one that can be sold VAT free to registered disabled users.
At first glance, this is a lovely low-mileage 7-seat Toyota Alphard 240X. But open the passenger-side power door and it has a rather clever factory Toyota feature.
This is a genuine Toyota WELLcab, fitted from new with an electrically operated second-row seat that rotates out of the vehicle and lowers towards the ground. It was designed to make getting in and out considerably easier for elderly passengers, wheelchair users or anyone with restricted mobility. Toyota also equipped these vehicles with wheelchair securing equipment.
When you don't need the system, the seat returns inside and it's still a proper seven-seat Alphard. No ramp permanently occupying the boot and no major aftermarket conversion — just a very practical family MPV with an extra trick up its sleeve.
This one has covered just 44,980km / approximately 27,950 miles and was purchased at Grade 4.
Specification includes:
+ 2.4 litre petrol / automatic
+ 7 seats
+ Toyota factory WELLcab electric lift-out seat

Toyota's 240X WELLcab retains the 2.4-litre 2AZ-FE engine and seven-seat layout of the 0regular Alphard, with the factory accessibility equipment engineered into the vehicle rather than added later.

Expected Vine Place price: £14000
This could be exactly the right vehicle for somebody who needs easier access — but equally, you don't need to need the WELLcab system to appreciate a 27,000-mile Grade 4 seven-seat Alphard.
