This badger started out as no gears able to be selected, on inspection one of the gear cables was extremely loose and poping off the gear selector, got some new cables ordered and fitted this evening and the customer back on the road again.

Local brewery called me back out for further work which is much appreciated.

Originally the job was front and rear pads but unfortunately we found a seized rear caliper meaning discs and a caliper was required on the rear, we put in a late shift so we could get him back out delivering beers especially with this weather we should be getting.

I must say this is a beautiful car for this young man.

What and event, imagine buying a car from up north, having the drive home of a life time in your new car to the have your alternator fail just before you've got back, well these things can happen, lucky the dealer was very helpful and on board, between myself and the dealer we go the car all sorted and back on the road ready for when the sun actually decides to stay out for more than a hour

We had a message to get this young lady back on the road over the weekend, she had what she was told was a slight coolant leak from the header tank, they couldn't have been further away, the heater matrix hose had a very slight split causing a very large leak which is lucky we got out to her when we did, with no parts available at the time the repair was simple, trim down the damage from the pipe and we added a extra jubilee clip to ensure there was a tight seal, added some fresh coolant and she was away again ready for her trip to London

Well it has been a little while hasn't it, now we are getting the lighter and drier evenings i'll be able to post some more.

So this afternoons little job

The initial call out was for a front wheel bearing, and I soon found I need a much lower jack 🤣 but luckily we didn't need it as on further inspection, and very lucky I found that the front wheels where actually very very loose, we got the tightened up and torqued to spec.
Now this old girl can be out on the road putting smiles on the drives face and anyone else that will enjoy a nice bit of retro BTCC.

Went out and repaired this one today.
The initial fault was,
hard to start the vehicle and very poor idle and running, after the customer had already had two different guys out one had said glow plugs so they had the work done, unfortunately this was not the fault, they then where told it's the DPF which they had cleaned, again the fault was still present. I arrived to the vehicle and confirmed the EGR valve as you can see in the picture it's full of carbon, the build up is incredible.
Unfortunately I had to get away quickly for a A&E trip once I'd replaced the EGR valve, the customer had reported the car is now driving much better and what they would expect.

Reason for the replacement was the bearings where on there way and you could hear the spring pinging when turning as the bearings are drying up
