Our friendly independent garage is currently looking for an experienced Senior Technician/Mechanic to join our growing business.
We are a busy independent workshop located in Wickford, Essex. The workshop is modern and equipped to a high specification.
We require a motivated and enthusiastic addition to our team. The successful applicant will have a stable work history and will be capable of repairing and servicing cars and light commercial vehicles to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate technical competence in vehicle mechanics as well as a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic diagnostics.
Duties
· Duties will include servicing, MOT preparation, all lines of maintenance and general repairs
· Diagnosing faults with our diagnostic equipment and carrying out repairs
· To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
· To increase sales of products and services offered by the Company, in accordance with procedures
· To maintain the cleanliness of the workshop and its equipment on an ongoing basis
· To comply with reasonable instruction of your line managers
· To adhere to Health & Safety guidelines
· The company will supply you with uniform, it must be clean and presentable at all times
· To be available for work at the times specified by the Company

The Opportunity

•Competitive salary starting at £34,000 per annum dependent on experience
• Uniform provided, excluding trousers, and boots to be provided by employee
• Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm with an hour unpaid lunch
• Additional overtime available
• Tools and toolbox insurance provided

The Candidate

The successful candidate must have a polite, positive, self motivated attitude and be willing and able to work individually and as part of a team. We will expect that you take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.
You will need to be able to communicate to a high level and fulfil your duties with a smooth high standard of workmanship that our customers expect.
You will be experienced in a professional workshop environment and be able to work effectively within time limits to ensure work is completed on schedule.
A good ability to accurately record all relevant information for job cards and invoices is essential.
Applicants should hold relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation to a minimum of level 3, and must have a full clean UK driving licence. 5 years qualified experience is essential working in a quality independent garage or main dealer.
EV and Hybrid qualifications would be an advantage but not essential for the role.
Salary will be based on skills and experience.

We are looking for reliable and professional Valeter/Drivers to join our small and friendly team.

The role is based in Wickford, Essex but will require travel across England. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the safe movement of lease vehicles between our workshop and our corporate clients.

Valeting responsibilities mean you will consistently ensure that vehicles are prepared to a high standard so that they are suitable and ready for new drivers.

You will need to navigate and plan your journeys using public transport, providing a speedy and friendly experience for our customers. In addition to the collection and delivery of the vehicles, you will be expected to conduct thorough appraisals of the vehicles using checklists provided and by including photographs as instructed.

The successful candidate will have:

a full, clean UK driving licence
good attention to detail
a good understanding of basic vehicle components
the ability to work to deadlines and with urgency and accuracy
good geographical knowledge of the UK and how to navigate by public transport
a smart and professional presentation
