☀️ With the current heatwave, we've seen a huge increase in air conditioning regas bookings! ☀️
To help answer some of the most common questions, here's a quick guide:
❓ When should I get my air conditioning regassed?
✅ Your air conditioning usually won't suddenly stop working. Instead, it gradually becomes less effective over time, with the air becoming warmer until it's little more than a fan.
If you've noticed your air con isn't as cold as it used to be, it's probably time for a regas. A regas can restore your system's performance and get it blowing cold air again.
❓ How much does an air conditioning regas cost?
🚗 R134a (older gas) – £70 + VAT
🚗 R1234yf (newer gas) – £120 + VAT
Generally, vehicles manufactured before 2017 use the older R134a gas, while many vehicles produced from 2017 onwards require the newer R1234yf gas, which is more environmentally friendly but also more expensive. This is only a rough guide and some cars don't follow the usual rule.
Not sure which gas your vehicle needs? Don't worry — we can check this for you.
