Range Rover TDV6 Mot prep work ✅

Another big job completed for a happy customer! 💪

This Range Rover came to us not roadworthy, so we collected it and brought it back to the workshop for a full health check.

After carrying out a thorough inspection, we discussed everything with the customer, agreed on the necessary repairs, and got to work.

Work carried out:
• 2 new tires
• Auxiliary belt
• Track rod end
• CV boot
• Full air-to-coil suspension conversion with bypass module
• 2 rear suspension arms replaced
• Galvanised fuel tank cradle
• Four-wheel alignment
• New windscreen fitted (due to a crack)

Once all the work was completed, the vehicle went through its MOT and passed successfully ✅

We then returned the fully repaired and roadworthy Range Rover back to its owner, ready for many more miles ahead.

Mercedes rear subframe replacement ✅

🚗🔧 Another major repair completed for a local customer!

This vehicle came in after failing its MOT due to severe corrosion on the rear subframe. One corner of the frame had rusted away significantly making the vehicle unsafe for the road.

We removed the old rear subframe, fitted a replacement unit, and installed new bushes to ensure everything was secure and performing as it should.

Rust is a common issue on many older vehicles and can often go unnoticed until MOT time. If you’ve got an MOT coming up and have concerns about corrosion underneath your vehicle, it’s worth getting it checked out.

Tiguan Rear brake pads ✅

This customer came to us with a squeeling noise from the rear, which was diagnosed as the rear brake pads at 90% worn.
As this car is relatively new we used our diagnostic equipment to wind the electric handbrake back to allow the new pads to be fitted.
With the new brake pads greased, carriers cleaned and wheels torqued, we reset the handbrake, checked the fluid level, gave it a road test and returned it to a happy customer.

Toyota Hilux MOT & Service ✅

This Hilux came to us from a returning customer who wanted a Mot and annual service carried out.
Having not seen the vehicle before, we carried out a full inspection, checking everything thoroughly and replaced;

⚫️Oil and filter
⚫️Fuel filter
⚫️Air filter
⚫️Cabin filter

We also spotted a broken front spring which would be a Mot fail!
Once the suspension was stripped apart, the spring could be replaced with new.
One Hilux returned with a fresh service and years MOT 👨🏻‍🔧

Subaru Wrx Sti service and MOT ✅

We had the pleasure recently of servicing this immaculate example of a Subaru.
With only 2000 miles on the clock, we serviced it using genuine parts to keep it in top condition.
One clean MOT pass later and returned to the customer the same day 👨🏻‍🔧

Defender Td5 head gasket replacement ✅

A returning customer came to us as his Defender was overheating on small journeys.
We carried out a few tests and confirmed the head gasket had unfortunately failed ❌
We removed the cylinder head,had it pressure tested and skimmed, then fitted a new gasket. Whilst apart we replaced anything that needed doing for peace of mind and longevity of the vehicle.

✔️Head gasket removed (skimmed + tested)
✔️Exhaust manifold skimmed
✔️Fresh coolant
✔️New oil and filter
✔️Genuine injector seals and bolts
✔️Injector lash set
✔️Repaired 2 bolts on the engine mount
✔️All new turbo gaskets
✔️Radiator top hose replaced
✔️2 new auxiliary belt pulleys and belt
✔️New coolant bottle lid

Vehicle is back on the road and no longer overheating, meaning it can get back to work and be reliable once again 👨🏻‍🔧

Seat Mii Clutch kit ✅

After noticing a strange noise from the engine bay, this customer came to us for a diagnosis to which we suspected the clutch release bearing to be noisy.
We soon got right into it and removed the gearbox confirming there was play in the bearing.
One new clutch kit fitted, gearbox oil topped up and a long road test carried out, then back to the customer for every day use ⚙️👨🏻‍🔧

Toyota Hilux suspension work and service ✅

Another one through the workshop 🔧

This Hilux came in for some maintenance and suspension work to keep it performing as it should — just in time for a long journey over to the Netherlands the same weekend. 🇳🇱

We replaced a worn track rod end that had a split boot, along with fitting two new CV boots to protect the joints and prevent any further wear from lack of grease.

As part of the service, we also changed the fuel, air, and oil filters, helping the engine run smoothly and topped up all the liquids and tire pressures.

All sorted, prepped for the trip, and ready to go 💪🏻

Vw Amarok service and repairs ✅

Another busy day in the workshop 🔧

This VW Amarok came in for a full service, where we replaced the fuel, pollen, and air filter, gave a good all round check over and topped up all the liquids.

We also upgraded all four tyres to Falken Wildpeak AT3s — ready to handle whatever the road (or off-road) throws at it.

On the braking side, we fitted new rear brake shoes and drums, replaced the handbrake cables, and carried out a full adjustment to make sure everything is working perfectly and safely.

To finish things off, we installed a Darkside Developments plug-and-play reversing light kit, giving improved visibility and a clean OEM-style upgrade.

Another job completed and one very capable Amarok back on the road 💪
