We had a beautiful 5.0 V8 Ford Mustang in today for some modification work.

These Mustangs have a massive following here in the UK and owners love to personalise them to their exact specification. This immaculate 2017 example has covered just 19,000 miles and it was a pleasure to work on.

We carried out:
- New GT500 gloss black rear spoiler fitted
- New gloss black rear boot panel
- Tinted taillight covers
- Chrome front and side badges replaced with gloss black badges
- Oil catch can fitted in the engine bay
- Hydraulic bonnet struts
- New gear k**b
- Wheel spacers fitted front and rear

All subtle changes but really give the car great look.

A lucky one this week for a new customer. A 2009 Vauxhall Astra came in making an awful noise which appeared to be coming from the timing belt area.

After a full strip down, we found a collapsed timing belt idler pulley. This caused the timing belt to go very slack and it even jumped a tooth throwing the timing out. Thankfully we got to this one when we did, a few more miles and the belt would have slipped off causing major engine damage.

We cleaned out the timing belt covers, reset the engine timing, then fitted a new timing belt kit and the engine is now running good as new!

A commercial vehicle day earlier this week. The Isuzu came in for a simple exhaust replacement.

The Mitsubishi arrived with an odd screaching noise from the fan / auxiliary belt area. After a bit of investigation, the lower crankshaft pulley had completely fallen apart. We sourced a new one from our local parts supplier and had the customer back on the road in a matter of hours!

We have had a busy week with multiple vehicles arriving broken and leaving fixed!

One of these was this huge Ford Ranger with a whole host of modifications! It came in for a bonnet latch issue which was quickly rectified and was back out to the customer in less than an hour.
