This week marks an incredible achievement for Richard Dines, who has now spent 47 years building, restoring and perfecting Shrimpers and Crabbers.

Very few people can claim to know these boats as intimately as Richard. Over nearly five decades he has built, repaired, refurbished and improved hundreds of them, earning a reputation for craftsmanship that is recognised throughout the industry.

Today, Richard is proud to be part of the Skathow Boat team.

Another Crabber 22 back where she belongs… on the water.

Today we launched Westwind in Dartmouth after a complete refurbishment, and it’s always rewarding to see an owner sail away with a smile.

This has been the fourth Crabber 22 we’ve brought back to near-new condition this year. Every project is different, but the aim is always the same: preserve the character of these wonderful boats while giving them a new lease of life for many more years of sailing.

There’s something very special about seeing a much-loved boat transformed and returned to her owner looking and feeling as though she’s just left the factory.

Our LineKeeper furler cover is back in stock. Stop that potentially dangerous situation where your jib furler gets tangled just as you need to reduce sail.

Older Shrimpers and some Crabbers were fitted with the Holt Allen open furler. This solution is much cheaper than replacing the whole system. It comes with the tools required to drill and tap the two holes that hold it in place. You just need a drill.

It’s always a lovely moment when all the hard work of a refit comes together.

Crabber 22 Milly B was delivered back to her owner in Poole yesterday, looking fantastic and ready for the season ahead.

Tomorrow, another Crabber 22 heads out to Torquay.
