If you're running the A1 through North Yorkshire, chances are you've passed our Coneygarth truck wash site. 🚛

Located at Exelby Services near Junction 51, it's an easy stop for drivers looking to get their vehicle cleaned up before continuing their journey.

This Fusion Supply Chain Solutions vehicle recently came through the wash. Bright summer conditions can make road film, dust and grime much more noticeable, especially on white cabs that spend their days covering long distances.

Our operators are on site from 7:30am every weekday, helping drivers and fleet operators keep their vehicles looking their best throughout the working day.

Coneygarth is one of four LPW Truckwash locations across the UK, alongside Purfleet, Avonmouth and Castleford, providing convenient truck washing services on some of the country's busiest transport routes.

Summer driving can quickly take its toll on a truck's windscreen. ☀️

Dust, road grime and changing weather conditions can all affect visibility, especially during long journeys and bright summer conditions.

At LPW Truckwash, every vehicle receives more than just a pass through the wash. Our team also hand finishes key areas, including windscreens, to make sure no spots are missed.

This Abbey Logistics vehicle stopped by our Purfleet site for a wash, with the team giving the windscreen some extra attention before it headed back out on the road. 🚛✨

This Hovis vehicle stopped by our Purfleet truck wash site after picking up its fair share of insects, road film and grime on the road. 🐛

Summer driving can leave the front of a truck covered in insects before you know it. A quick look at the close-up photo shows just how much had built up on this vehicle before it came through the wash.

For businesses operating branded fleets, every vehicle is a moving advertisement. They're seen on motorways, at customer sites, in distribution centres and everywhere in between. Keeping them clean helps businesses present the right image wherever their vehicles are seen.

Our team got this one cleaned up and ready to head back out on the road. 🚛✨

Monday mornings start early at LPW Tankwash. 🌅

These photos were taken not long after the team got underway today, with food-grade tankers already arriving on site for cleaning before heading back out for their next loads.

For operators transporting products such as dairy, edible oils, syrups and other food-grade goods, tank cleaning is simply part of the job. Every load depends on the tank being properly cleaned, sanitised and ready for what comes next.

Our teams at Purfleet and Avonmouth use high-pressure hot water, steam sanitisation and air-filtered drying to keep vehicles moving while maintaining the standards expected in food-grade transport.

It's a part of the industry that often goes unseen, but it plays an important role in helping keep food supply chains moving every day. 🚚

Today is World Environment Day. 🌍

Across LPW, we're always looking at ways to reduce the environmental impact of our operations while maintaining the standards our customers rely on. Some of the steps already in place include:

💧 Recycling up to 95% of the water used at our Coneygarth truck wash site through a closed-loop water reclaim system.

🚛 Capturing, containing and responsibly managing wastewater through our Mobile Fleetwash operations, helping prevent contaminated water entering the environment.

♻️ Refilling existing drums and IBCs through LPW Fleetcare where possible, helping customers reduce packaging waste.

🧽 Supplying cleaning products that are free from harsh caustic or solvent-based ingredients while still delivering effective commercial vehicle cleaning performance.

We know there is always more that can be done. That's why we continue to review our operations, equipment and processes, looking for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and lower our environmental impact.

Bright liveries like this always look good once they’ve been properly cleaned. 🚛

This Sitra Group vehicle stopped by our Castleford truck wash site recently. The bright orange cab contrasted really well against the clean white trailer once finished.

SITRA vehicles cover huge mileage transporting food products across national and international routes, so it doesn’t take long for road film, spray and grime to build up. Keeping refrigerated transport vehicles clean and presentable matters when they’re constantly on the road representing the business.

The driver even turned up in an “Eat Sleep Drive Repeat” t-shirt, which summed the industry up pretty well. Long hours, early starts and plenty of miles covered every week.

Our Castleford team got this one cleaned up and ready for the next journey. A great looking truck and a nice one to have come through our site. 👏🏼

The recent heatwave has left plenty of trucks looking dusty across UK roads. ☀️

Waste management vehicles cover huge miles every week on busy construction routes, so it doesn’t take long for dust, road film and grime to build up in dry weather.

This One Waste vehicle stopped by our Purfleet truck wash site to get cleaned up and back on the road.

Bright conditions make dirt far more noticeable, especially on white vehicles and branded fleets that are constantly on the move.

Our Purfleet team got this one washed down, hand-finished and looking sharp again before heading back out for another busy day. 💪🏼

The HRC - Honda Racing Corporation team stopped by our Castleford truck wash site today on their way to the Isle of Man TT Races. 🏍️ 🏁

These support vehicles cover huge miles transporting bikes, equipment and everything needed behind the scenes during race season. When teams are travelling across the country and representing major brands at events like the TT, keeping vehicles clean and presentable matters.

Our Castleford team got them cleaned up and back on the road before they continued their journey over to the island. The Honda Racing livery definitely stood out in the wash bay.

Best of luck to the team for race week and safe travels from everyone at LPW. 👏🏼

Safe to say this isn’t the kind of traffic we usually see at the wash bay … ✈️

A Royal Air Force aircraft recently stopped by our Coneygarth truck wash for a careful hand clean, and it definitely turned a few heads while it was parked up. 😅

Our team gave it the same attention to detail they bring to every vehicle that comes through site.

Keeping vehicles clean and presentable is part of the job, whether they’re travelling on the road or up in the skies.

It’s Learning at Work Week, and this year’s theme is ‘Many ways to learn’. At LPW, a lot of that learning happens on the job every day. 🦺

Working on a truck wash site means learning how to work efficiently as part of a team, keeping standards consistent, staying safe around busy transport operations, and understanding the details that make a difference when cleaning commercial vehicles properly.

No two vehicles are the same, and no two shifts are either. Over time, operatives build experience, confidence and knowledge simply by getting stuck in and learning alongside the team around them.

These photos show some of the people behind the day-to-day work across our truck wash operations. Early starts, outdoor conditions, busy wash bays, and getting vehicles cleaned and back on the road.
