Perma-Grit Tools manufacture a range of specialist abrasive sanding & cutting tools for Carbon Fibre, Glass Fiber, Composites, Stone, Brick, Laminates, Acrylics, Plastics, Polystyrene, Wood etc. He was working with such a diverse range of materials, traditional tools were not efficient and had a tendency to chip, melt or tear materials. Ian found that tungsten carbide grit solved this problem. The
tools they developed solved this problem, cutting the softest to some of the hardest materials, quickly and cleanly, whilst giving far better results and an extended tool life. We started selling Perma-Grit tools at Model Aircraft shows in the UK. We met customers from all walks of life and soon our tools were being used by an amazing range of people. The LAA Light Aircraft Association and EAA Experimental Aircraft Association members, as well as the Motorsport Industry, Cathedral & Architectural Masons, Musical Instrument makers, Kitchen & Shop fitters, Architectural Restoration, Boat fitters and Craftsmen & Women making Rocking Horses, Walking sticks, carving horn & antler also Dolls houses and miniature furniture. We enjoy hearing from our customers, and learning what they have used our tools on, or for, even when they tells us, they have been using them for removing the hard skin from their feet - eeek! Perma-Grit Tools continue to develop a range of user designed tools, that give great value and satisfaction to our customers.
