The Big Bark came to Betway Towcester Racecourse on Saturday and Sunday.

Agility, show classes, have-a-go arenas, a shopping village and street food, with hundreds of dogs and their owners making the most of our 310 acres of Northamptonshire countryside.

Thanks to the organisers for a well-run couple of days, their sponsors, and to all the exhibitors who joined them, including Bella & Duke, Canine Corner, Dogs Trust, Guide Dogs, Poochies, Tails.com, Towcester Vets and many more.

A lot of different ways to love a dog, and a great weekend to see them all in action.

Sunday is the pick of the weekend. Our brand new Sunday Carvery lands this week — roast beef, roast chicken or wild mushroom pie, carvery style, trackside. Walk in on the day or book ahead. Adults £34.95 · Under 12s £15.00.

And while the greyhounds are racing, we've got two Premier League fixtures live on our screens:

The Big Bark Towcester is almost here, bringing two full days of dog-friendly fun to Towcester Racecourse THIS WEEKEND on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September.

Expect fun dog shows, have-a-go activities, games, demonstrations, dog-focused shopping, food and plenty more for dogs and their humans to enjoy.

Whether your dog loves getting involved or is happiest just soaking up the atmosphere and making new friends, there’ll be loads happening across the weekend.

🐎 SIX FIXTURES AGREED FOR 2027/28

We're thrilled to share that National Hunt racing is set to return to Betway Towcester Racecourse on Wednesday 20 October 2027, the first time since May 2018.

Six fixtures have now been agreed for the 2027/28 season. Backed by a £2 million+ investment in the racing surface and spectator facilities, this is a huge step forward for the track.

We're also aiming to host Point-to-Point fixtures in spring 2027, ahead of Rules racing returning later in the year.

A genuinely exciting milestone, with plenty more to share as preparations continue.

It's National Greyhound Week 🐾

And this year it comes with something extra special, Monday 31st August (Bank Holiday) marks our very first ever Monday Meet!

We've got trophy races on the card, and we'd love to get some of our younger visitors involved, if your little ones fancy helping present a trophy on the day, just ask a member of staff when you're here, we'd love to have them join in.

It's also the perfect week to celebrate, GBGB is marking 100 years of greyhound racing, and we're joining tracks across the UK in getting behind it.

Free entry, doors open as usual. Come and be part of our very first Monday night under the lights 🏁
