Another job completed a few weeks ago. A 5 seat SWB caddy camper adaptation. Featuring one custom quick fit fold and slide bed system. (fully removable) and custom rear quarter side cabinet with front pull out drawer to house the customers fridge. An idea that stemmed from a TikTok video and side pod seen from another manufacturer. In true Woodyswagons style we put our stamp on things improving the bed design and building a side pod to the customers exact requirements.

😱 just realised how long it’s been since we last posted. The joys of making hay why the sun shines. So they say down our way. The summer months are always the busiest time of year for us and this year has been no exception. What a year it’s been for those who love the heat ☀️ 🥵. In the sweaty workshop we’ve been busy beavering away at lots of different projects for a variety of customers. We shall start with the following.

Mercedes sprinter custom kitchen units, wood work and upholstery. For a returning customer who’s upgraded a vehicle size.

A Ford transit custom given a new lease of life. From the customers work van to family vehicle.

Work carried out:

Two stage insulation of the load area ✅
Sliding door opening window fitted ✅
New ply headlining ✅
Carpet lining of the load area metal work and existing ply panels ✅
Fitting of the customers supplied Ford custom crew cab seats ✅
4x roof spotlights wired into the factory wiring ✅

A simple clean finish.

Yesterday was handover day of this fantastic conversion. It’s been thoroughly enjoyable building this van for a lovely local lady and doing so on a van with massive sentimental value has filled the team with great pride. The van was originally purchased new by Tony the husband for his antiques/furniture business which took them across the country to various fairs and shows. Unfortunately he is no longer with us so prior to it coming to us the van had been sat for a couple years with occasional use. It’s been an absolute pleasure re purposing this van ready for its new life of adventures. After several meetings with Chris we come up with a layout and conversion which should hopefully suit her and the 4 dogs. Every aspect of this van has been tailored to her requirements with some really cool hand crafted features. There’s loads to go through on this van which we shall post in stages but for now enjoy this fantastic looking build.
