So not quite the event we had planned, but due to unforeseen circumstances and the hot weather unfortunately this weekend’s racing was cancelled at the last minute.

The Gomm racing team did an amazing job in the lead up to this event to get the truck ready but it wasn’t all wasted after we still got some time to play as we helped take down the course.

The course itself looked challenging but like it was gonna be good fun so gutted when we heard the news that the event had been cancelled just an hour before qualifying.

I’m sure we will be back to compete in an another howling Wolf event to see What all the hard work and time would’ve been like. Now it’s time to get ready for our next event.

Another busy week in the workshop this week. The rear rad in finial in and just need plumbing in. Even had time to try and fix another defender.

🏁 A Different Kind of Racing for Gomm Racing! 🏁

Over the last few weeks we’ve been doing something a little different from our usual off-road racing activities, teaming up with Butler Tree Care to take part in Burghfield Box-kart Bash charity soapbox race.

As well as enjoying a fantastic day of racing, we were proud to help raise money for Andys Man Club, a brilliant charity that supports men’s mental health and su***de prevention. We encourage everyone to check out their work and find out more through the link below

The event itself went really well. Despite a few minor mechanical issues and one blown-out tyre that needed replacing, we managed to complete all three runs and had a great time doing it.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and supporting such an important cause. It was a fantastic way to kick off our 2026 race season, and we’re already looking forward to the next challenge!
