Here we have a Peugeot 2008 that lost a fight with a bollard and gate in Crediton 🤔.

Although I attended this RTC (Twice!) I didn't actually remove it from its location and assume it's still there.

Even tho it was at the end of a long driveway (the owners driveway) obstructing access when booked and with updated ETAs and correspondences throughout the day, whenever I was on scene the owner was nowhere to be found, calls, messages no answer.

Soooooo I left the first time, finally got a response, rearranged to be there for the second time again with updates but once back on scene still nothing from the owner.

Failing the second time, I abandoned the recovery/removal.

Contact was finally made again and I was begged to re attend, even offered more than quoted but unfortunately it's not about that for me, I simply can't waste my time potentially going there again to silence when I could be helping someone else who appreciates and wants the help.

Returned back to this Volkswagen Crafter (Camper Conversion) that I straight bar recovered a few days ago.

I recovered them the short distance into the camp site they were on their way too, pitched them up on their plot and returned yesterday when they were due to leave to fit a replacement alternator belt so they could drive home.

They let me know when they were home safe and we're very thankful.

I didn't take many pictures of this one unfortunately due to the vehicle being in a precarious place, fortunately they had a fend off to protect them and me Devon and Cornwall Rural Policing Team 🤗.

Managed to load it up smoothly and take the short hop around the corner back to home.

After speaking with the owners in a safer location, the thermostat housing disintegrated expelling all the coolant from the engine and locking it down preventing them from moving to a safer location 🤦

Forgot to post this one 😬, been a manic few days 😂.

Collected this Vauxhall Astra from Butlins Minehead Caravan Park Friday gone with a misfire, RAC had attended and diagnosed it as a faulty coil pack with a leaking rocker cover gasket. However they had quoted the owner £1,600+ to recover them home to North Wales 😳.

Fortunately they had time to find an alternative and to try and enjoy the remainder of their holiday.

They landed upon a contractor I'm associated with who sent me down the job.

All in all, it was a stunning drive, lovely people and smooth running (albeit one strap kept playing funny buggers) but got to a garage of their choice back home in North Wales trouble free where the poorly Astra can get fixed 😎

Started the day yesterday with this Peugeot 208 in Williton.

I attended it a few weeks ago due to non start (suspected battery) however welst I was there the alternator was showing a low output and the throttle pedal was inop.

So I was asked to come back out, fit a new alternator and battery so I could run diagnostics on the vehicle to see what the problem with the throttle pedal was.

Turns out, no permanent fault codes in the system, just lots of codes relating to low voltage. So I cleared all them and re-calibrated the throttle positional sensors 💪

On the way back from Exmouth I collected this 49cc Moped from Tiverton and delivered it a short distance down the road to its new owner on behalf of the seller (nice thing to do)

Special delivery arranged by the seller to save the new owner from having to sort out transport to go collect it.

Head back down to Exmouth to this stricken Volkswagen Crafter (converted camper)

On their way from Gloucestershire to Exmouth for a camping holiday, 5 minutes away from the campsite decided it no longer wanted it's alternator belt, so shredded it and conked the mobile home out on the side of the road 🤦.

Quite the recovery this one 😬. Full off dramatics I'll spare the details, but it was very entertaining to say the least.

Never the less, got it to the campsite so the owners can enjoy some down time and I will return Saturday to fit a new belt so they can drive home comfortably 😎

Headed back to Collumpton to collect the Renault Clio I recovered a few nights ago at Hankridge roundabout after its fight with a curb.

Owner decided it was too much to repair and rightfully so, so I bought it for scrap and sent it to Lowmoor breakers for dismantling 💪

Started the day off down in Torquay today to collect this Hyundai Coupe and transport it to its new owner in Bridgwater....

Started the day off down in Torquay today to collect this Hyundai Coupe and transport it to its new owner in Bridgwater.

Safe to say he was delighted with his purchase ☺️.

Nice smooth load, cones for safety as I was on a slightly blind bend, but traffic flowing smoothly so that was pleasant 🤩
