Finally! After taking the front suspension to pieces several times I found the source of the knocking……drum roll….the shock mount bolts 🙄 They had worn the holes a little tiny bit oval and they were moving less than 1mm but the sound amplified by the chassis sounded like a deep knock. Isn’t it crazy how the simplest things can a) take ages to find and b) be fixed by some high tensile shims and a torque wrench! 😂
