True North is coming along beautifully! 👏

Cabinetry is going in, electrics are almost up and running, and she’s really starting to feel like a home.

As we approach the end of our first year at Central Boating, it’s incredible to look back at how much we’ve learned and how far we’ve come.

Building bespoke boats brings challenges, but every build has helped us refine our processes, strengthen our quality control and raise our standards that little bit further.

We’re incredibly particular about the finished product. Every detail is looked at, every Q/C check is scrutinised, and if something isn’t right, we put it right.

We’re still a young family business, constantly learning and improving, but one thing won’t change — we’ll always put everything we have into building boats that our customers are proud to own and call home.

True North is going to be something special & we can’t wait to see her finished 😍⛴️

Big milestone for us at Central Boating this week; our first new build in the water, last bits of snagging ready for handover on Tuesday. We’ve worked so hard to grow the business to deliver a professional standard modern narrowboat. It hasn’t been easy and we’ve faced so many challenges some nights we didn’t know if we would ever make it. It just goes to show what a good team and persistence can do. It’s all go go for True North now and we wish Chris & Morag many happy years cruising. We offer extensive ownership support so this is just the start of our relationship with our first customers. Thank you to everyone involved & here’s to many more boats delivered from Central Boatings Team 😊⛴️

🚤 Willow Haven Update 🚤

Another milestone reached on Willow Haven.

First fix is now complete, with all major systems installed and infrastructure in place. From electrical and plumbing runs to insulation, flooring and service areas, the foundations of the build are now finished.

We're now moving into second fix, where the boat really starts to come to life. Cabinetry, wall finishes, trim work, fixtures and final details will begin transforming the shell into a home.

It's always exciting reaching this stage, as customers can finally start to see their vision become reality.

Built with care, documented properly and protected long after.

A productive day on the road.

Today we travelled to Doncaster to meet with our cabinetry supplier and continue developing our approach to interior fit-outs. As a growing boatbuilder, we're constantly reviewing products, suppliers and processes to ensure we're delivering the best possible finish for our customers.

Every decision matters — from the steel shell right through to the final cupboard door.

Built with care. Documented properly. Protected long term.
