⚽ Derby Day is almost here and our team are buzzing! ⚽

With the Tyne–Wear Derby just days away, we asked colleagues across Nissan Sunderland Plant for their match predictions and reactions… and they didn’t hold back! 🙌

But there’s something even more important bringing everyone together this week.

We’re proud to support the The Bradley Lowery Foundation Donation Derby, helping raise vital funds in memory of Bradley and the incredible legacy he continues to inspire across our region.

We’re thrilled to announce that Nissan Sunderland Plant is now officially manufacturing the all-new, all-electric, third-generation Nissan LEAF! ⚡

For over a decade, we’ve been leading the way in EV production right here in the North-East of England. With more than 250,000 Nissan LEAFs already on the road, we know what it takes to deliver a car our customers love.

The all-new LEAF is more than just a car. It’s the first step in our EV36ZERO vision for sustainable mobility - bringing together EV manufacturing, renewable energy, and gigafactories to create a cleaner, greener future. 🌍

But none of this would be possible without the dedication, creativity, and collaboration of our team at Nissan Sunderland Plant.

Last week, one of our teams at Nissan Sunderland came together for a special volunteering activity with local child bereavement charity, 4Louis. The charity joined us at the plant and set up a production line where employees packed more than 240 memory boxes that will provide comfort and support to families during the most difficult times.

We’re proud to support 4Louis every month with volunteering support, as part of our ongoing commitment to helping hundreds of charities in our local community - all employees at Nissan Sunderland can spend 2 days a year volunteering.

Well done to everyone who took part in making a real difference and thank you, 4Louis, for the incredible work you do. 💙

Members of the Nissan Sunderland Veteran’s Network and our amazing volunteers proudly supported the Royal British Legion in setting up the Field of Remembrance at Saltwell Park in Gateshead.

The Field of Remembrance is a powerful tribute to those who lost their lives whilst serving in the Armed Forces. We’re honoured to play a part in creating a space where the community can come together to reflect and remember.

A huge thank you to everyone involved. 💙

This week, our iFA Hypercomp team spent a volunteering day at Grace House in Sunderland, rolling up their sleeves to support this amazing local charity.

The team tackled a variety of tasks to help maintain and improve the grounds, including:
🗑️ Litter Picking – A full walk of the internal and external grounds to collect and dispose of rubbish.
✂️ Hedge Trimming – Pruning trees and bushes along perimeter walls and fences.
🌿 Gardening – Turning over soil in three of the rear garden’s vegetable patches.
🛠️ Decking Repair – Replacing rotten wood and rubber matting in the outdoor play area.
🧹 Carpark Cleaning – Sweeping and clearing debris from various areas of the front carpark.
🎨 Painting – Fresh coat of paint on the external fence surrounding the rear gardens.

👏 A huge well done to the team for their hard work and community spirit!
