Memorial Garden Stages at RM Condor.
A great day, working with a fabulous team of marshals and officials, keeping the competitors safe. Russell & Graeme in the impeccably behaved Cougar 1, with me and Mo in (the slightly naughty) Cougar 2.
Both Units kept busy with a couple of stage stoppages, numerous suspended tows and a couple of flat tows.

Next events for us are Mull 26 and Kinloss Winter Stages.

A completely refreshed Cougar 1, off to Saturday's Memorial Garden Stages, along with Cougar 2. The rally is held at RM Condor base near Arbroath.

The last corner of the last stage.
Mo grabbing some hydration after completing the tricky recovery of a car embedded on a stump and on the edge of a steep drop.
Piper 8, Cougar 2 and three winches got it off. Plan A didn't work so we switched to Plan B and eventually eased it off the tree stump and back onto the track.
Thanks to the car's service crew for help, as well as our rescue and medical colleagues, JJ radio control, as well as all of the marshals for their patience while the road was blocked.

Friday0530 alarm0615 depart0715 to 1430 BRC reccé 1430 to 1700 tea, cake, sausage sandwich, chew the fat. In that order....

1430 to 1700 tea, cake, sausage sandwich, chew the fat. In that order.
1800 back up Unit for SS1 and SS2
which didn't last long...
1900 called into SS1.
2030 cleared SS1 along with Piper 1 Recovery.
2035 helped a marshal change a puncture on the Slug Road, with inconsiderate rally fans blasting past at 70mph. 🤬
2200 home, shower, beer.
Do it all again Saturday.
