Sometimes, you dont need to tell people how good you are…Your customers will do it for you. ❤️

We’ve just had these come back into the workshop.

Not online reviews.

Not something we’ve asked someone to write.

Not marketing copy.Just good old-fashioned handwritten customer feedback.And honestly… these mean a lot to us.

“First time I used Harris Motor Company… found the staff extremely honest and gave me the honest advice that actually saved me money.”

Our good friend Darren has made this fantastic lamp from an old Castrol oil can.

I absolutely love it!

Being a Castrol Service Centre, I cant think of anything more appropriate for the reception area.

😂It’s quirky, its different and its been made from something that would otherwise probably have ended up being thrown away.And if anyone fancies a unique Castrol oil-can lamp for themselves, give us a shout and well put you in touch with Darren.

My first EV – a Tesla Model 3… and nearly a month later, what do I think? ⚡

Well, I finally did it!

I bought my first ever EV – a Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD.

Nearly a month in, I’ve been driving it, charging it and getting to grips with what it’s actually like to live with an electric car.

The first thing I wanted to check was the battery health.

A big thank you to and for the battery testing kits. The Tesla came back at 87.8% battery health.

But what do I really think of the car?

Has my opinion of EVs changed?

Would I buy another one?

And would I now consider buying EVs for Specialist Cars?

❤️ IT'S NOT ABOUT GETTING 5-STAR REVIEWS… IT'S ABOUT CREATING

We LOVE our customer reviews.

Of course we do!

But here's the thing…

It's not really about getting 5-star reviews.

Most businesses can get great reviews.

For all of us here at Harris Motor Co., it's about something much more important:

HOW WE MAKE OUR CUSTOMERS FEEL.

And today we've had three lovely pieces of feedback arrive through the post.

We're sharing the actual photographs because these are genuine handwritten comments from our customers — not something we've written ourselves!

❤️ GEOFF'S STORY

This one is particularly special.

Geoff had a problem with his Mazda 6 that had been going on for around three years.

Two Mazda dealers had suggested a thorough DPF system cleanse at around £1,300.

Three sensors had already been changed.

Still no solution.

Geoff contacted me, and despite living around 78 miles away, we arranged for his car to come to Harris Motor Co.

We had the car for seven days.

We found the problem — a blocked sensor pipe — and made sure we'd properly fixed it before handing the car back.

The bill?

£447.56.

The car was also returned immaculately clean.

Six weeks later, Geoff got back in touch and told us:

“The car drives better than I can remember in all the 7 years of my ownership.”

Now THAT makes us proud. ❤️

And then there's the history…

Geoff and I had actually worked together briefly back in 1986, and we'd always kept in touch.

What a fantastic story.

☕ Then there's this lovely comment about our reception team:

“On entering the offices met by a lovely young lady (Reception) who was extremely helpful, made us a drink whilst waiting for our MOT to be done. My little dog was also welcomed which was lovely. xx”

It's the little things.

A smile.

A cup of tea.

Making someone — and their four-legged friend! 🐶 — feel welcome.

🔧 And another customer told us:

“They provide an excellent service, the staff are extremely helpful and the work completed is outstanding - advanced reminders were issued pertaining to my MOT - updates were regularly provided throughout the process.”

That's what we want.

Not just to fix cars.

Not just to service cars.

Not just to carry out MOTs.

We want people to leave Harris Motor Co. feeling that they have been looked after.

That's what customer service means to us.

That's what we're trying to build.

And hopefully…
