The last few weeks have been hard for everyone, we count ourselves very lucky in that we can still work between our 2 separate buildings and not having to rely on day to day customer work.

We hope everyone is being safe, here’s an update on what we’ve been up to at Flint Classics to help get your classic car fix...A lot has happened since our last post.

Here is a snippet of what been going on here at Flint Classics...

- 1986 Ford Capri back to its best after it was involved in an accident.

- 1973 Porsche 911 is in its scratch coat and you can get a glimpse of what it might look like when finished whilst paying tribute to all the colours it’s been when is was on track.

- 1935 Lagonda is progressing on its bare metal respray.

- 1973 Classic Range Rover chassis is almost complete and body is getting trial fitting after all the panels have been blasted and repaired/replaced.

- We sold both our Triumph Stags in January and February.

Lots of other work which I’ll share in future posts including our new work van and our new mascot 😉

Only a couple of weeks apart and both our beautifully restored Triumph Stags have found new homes.

We hope the new owners have as much fun and enjoyment as we did restoring these amazing cars.

Again big thanks to our partners at The Car Barn Beamish, check them out if you haven’t already, they have some amazing cars in stock and stayed tuned as you may see more of our cars in their showroom in the very near future!😉

Classic 1972 Range Rover chassis has been blasted, primed and painted on our 360 degree rotisserie. All fixtures have been stripped and re-plated with zinc and protected with a blue chromate for a silver finish. A few more build days and it should be rolling on its own wheels again, all nice and shiny and better than it came out the factory!

We have been blown away by the positive comments to the quality of our work in these restorations which is lovely to hear and we are very proud to see these cars alongside some of the best cars money can buy.

Really productive week!

Our blue Stag is getting its finishing touches, which for us includes making sure our inner wheel arches are shiny before it goes to its fancy showroom surrounded by Ferrari’s, Porsche’s and Aston Martins...stayed tuned on this one😉.

The Range Rover full restoration is well and truly underway, we’ve tested the engine and gearbox we are using and could not be happier, the sweetest V8 we’ve heard for a long time👌. The body’s have been lifted off both cars and are ready to be swapped over so we can work on both the chassis (without a body) and also fit new panels on the primary body using the donor chassis for alignment - we are not just pretty faces here at Flint Classics 🤔.

The Porsche 911 has had its engine and gearbox removed and is ready to be taken away for a full overhaul and the body is now getting prepped to be taken back to bare metal.

Told you it was a productive week! 😅

Its been a busy week here at Flint Classics.
We are starting to shift our focus onto our customer work which we have booked in for over the winter period..
We have a Porsche 911 in for a full bare metal respray which will be paying tribute to its fantastic race history.
A suffix ‘B’ Range Rover in for a full ground up nut and bolt restoration - lots of work involved in this one, we are looking forward to it.
Our Stags have had lots of progress this week also, the red Stag has passed its MOT and the blue one is almost ready to be tested also - stay tuned as these Stags will have a new home very shortly in a nice shiny showroom, more to follow on this...

Engine block and gearbox has been installed along with the prop shaft. The exhaust system is ready to go on tomorrow, we’ll bleed the brakes and check all the newly installed brake lines to complete the ramp work. Not many cars, even new cars look his good underneath!

🔵 The front of the Stag is now looking more like the Stag we all know and love. We now have doors with perfect gaps and the hood frame has been trial fitted after been refurbished and repainted and is ready for its brand new hood which will be fitted in the next couple of days. Rebuilt Engine and gearbox scheduled to be installed next week.
