Few from this weekends racing after Car went up to John Sleath Racecars for a tune up after some carb and ignition issues. Much improved, but quite a few horses have run away! Torque Converter is about dead, so gonna fit a new one in close season.

Started off ok.....then issues. ☚ī¸

After last meeting I could hear a tapping from engine, so investigation found the pushrods were bashed on the top ends.....

After last meeting I could hear a tapping from engine, so investigation found the pushrods were bashed on the top ends.....so it was a trip back home for parts at John Sleath Racecars. It appears the wrong length Rods were fitted originally.
All reassembled and engine running sweet, the times dropped dramatically!
Mid 7's....yea I'm happy with that. Suspension needs sorting now as the car is all over the place over 70mph !
Still not getting 3rd gear, so should improve times more once we hit 3rd!
