Don't loose it, track it!

We have found this great review from AutoExpress Magazine analysing several cost effective vehicle tracking solutions for if the unthinkable happens, or you just lose your car in town after a days shopping!.

Obviously trackers are not the be all and end all of vehicle recovery and nothing is guaranteed, but here at isitnicked.com we are aware of many vehicles that are quickly recovered as a result of vehicle tracking systems.

Have a look and make your own judgement on whether it is for you. Some are simple to install and some may require an auto-electrician. Another point to consider is that the majority of vehicle tracking solutions will require a paid GSM subscription, but these can be very cheap on pay-as-you-go sim cards.

With decreasing budgets along with priority crimes such as violent and sexual offence report, has anyone else found themselves a position where they were unable to get a vehicle recovered by police?

Van drivers beware....

With a 45% rise in van thefts and thefts from vans also increasing, what are you doing to protect your assets?

Completely stopping these thefts might be a tall order but you can certainly reduce the risk that it will be you.

Some points to think about:

Be aware of who is hanging round your work site while you have your tools on display.

Think about installing a secure box for your tools.

Locking doors when away from vehicle, even if it is a short drop.

Better door locks.

Tracker.

CCTV where vehicle is left over night.

Leaving the driver's seat? Take your key with you, or remember to press STOP.

How is access to vehicle keys controlled?

Stay safe and do everything you can to protect your assets. They are your livelyhood.

According to figures sourced from UK police forces, there has been a spike in van thefts across the country over the last four years.
