On this week’s Klear Conversations…

Your bumper being a different shade to the rest of the car doesn’t automatically mean bad paint.

There are a few reasons why.

Plastic and metal reflect light differently.

The positioning and curvature of a bumper changes how light hits the panel compared to adjacent panels.

And many vehicles have plastic components painted separately to the body during manufacturing, with different application processes and curing conditions.

This effect can become even more noticeable on metallic, pearl and lighter colours where changes in light reflection are easier to see.

So next time you notice a slight variation—don’t automatically assume bad repair.

Klear Autoworks is growing, and we’re looking for the right person to join our team.

We specialise in high-quality accident repairs, prestige vehicle repairs, and paint refinishing on brands including Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Range Rover, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini and more.

This is NOT a production-line bodyshop.

We take pride in proper repairs, premium finishes, and doing things the right way.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and turns up
• Hard-working with good attention to detail
• Experienced in prep work/bodyshop assistance
• Takes pride in quality, not rushed cheap work
• Able to work well within a small professional team
• Experience in prestige vehicle repair is a bonus

Fresh delivery mileage, flawless finish. 🚗✨

This brand new Porsche 911 GT3 (992.2) came straight to us for bumper removal, smoothing the number plate holes, colour coding the air blades and fitting a kit for that perfect clean front-end look.

Straight from our workshop, it went directly to for full PPF protection — because a car like this deserves nothing less.

Being trusted with a brand new GT3 says everything about the standard we work to — and it’s not the first time clients have handed us the keys to their pride and joy straight from delivery.

Precision matters. Details matter. And when it leaves our workshop, it carries our name.

Insurance wanted to write this 2002 BMW 5 Series off — we didn’t.

We repaired it under a contract agreement with no marker placed on the car, keeping its history clean.

Quarter panel repaired to factory standard — you genuinely wouldn’t know it’s been touched. That side profile? DEAD straight.

Rear bumper, rear bumper beam, moulding, and rear lamp all replaced with brand new genuine BMW parts.

If it wasn’t perfect, it wouldn’t leave — simple as that. I’d have replaced the quarter myself if needed.
