Shockingly I'm making progress on the Winton from 1900. This time it's the electrics, the last big hurdle before we try and start it. Antique car electrics are quite basic but there's still lots going on with Model T Ford trembler coils. Edging towards the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

I was really excited to meet Maker & Mind at the The White Horse, Castle Street, Hertford pub quiz!

The wool packed oiler in the Winton hasn't been holding the oil and I've been puzzling about what to do. I've ended up with a raw sheeps fleece and trying to clean it. Now Connie is on board, teaching me about how to process the fleece. 🐑

This weekend Brooklands Museum is celebrating 100 years since Britain's first Grand Prix which was held there.
Little did I know when attending my first Mini show there how that would influence my life. Racing, rallying, working in motor sport, dipping into the film and TV worlds etc etc.
Join a club, get out there and have fun. You never know where you'll end up! ☺️

I've finally tackled the gearbox on the Winton 9HP from 1900. Lots of head scratching went into this one as I discovered a huge issue. But after help from and Edd China we got there and this veteran car should be good to go from London to Brighton and beyond.
